Just a little note: I think, since edits and art are done for the next chapter, that I'll post the new chapter a day earlier than I'd planned. I hope you'll enjoy it as the capstone to this arc.
However, the next update might actually take longer than normal. I'm trying to write something original for National Novel Writing Month and it's going to take my attention for a bit. Plus I'd like to do a little more research on some things coming up for the next arc.
Hello lovely readers! If you still want a Physical Turing Calendar by New Year's you might want to pick it up soon. The Digital Pack is still an option too, though.
Hello everyone! How was your holiday? Or are you still having them?
Well, the chapter is complete, but I wanted to give my editors a little extra time over the holidays to give some feedback and I still want to make some changes. Plus, Green hasn't been feeling well and he's a bit behind on the chapter illustration, and I like to have new chapters with an illustration, if possible. So, the update will be tomorrow, most likely between 4 and 6 pm U.S. Central Time.
Howdy, folks! Looks like I'm going to have to slightly fudge on my "2 weeks" deadline for the next chapter. It's all written and just needs editing and an illustration (which I think is very cute, by the way), so it should be good to go either tomorrow or the day after (Monday or Tuesday, respectively).
Remember when I said I got some good news in the mail. It was for this:
Hopefully this means more folks will discover the story, but in any case, it's nice to be considered good enough to share with the community. Many thanks to everyone who's been supporting the story. I am grateful to you all.
In the most recent chapter of "The Iron Horse: Everything's Better with Robots!" we see Twilight Sparkle wake up from a nightmare and fly outside to calm herself. She meets Gadget, who also confesses to having a nightmare. The two of them talk, they make up from their earlier fight, and they resolve to try harder to help Turing Test.
Did you want a Turing Test 2025 Calendar, but it was just out of your price range? Well, my illustrator and I have agreed to forgo profits so now you can get yours for just the printing cost of $12.06 (USD)! Pick yours up here! OR if you’d just like the images, the Digital Image Pack is still available for just $5 on Etsy! It’s our way of making sure as many of you as
Milestones abound! "The Iron Horse" has gone over 800 comments, 34,500 total views, and has gotten to over 200,000 words! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's been enjoying the story. Also, from the most recent chapter, here's an unused sketch Green was working on for me. We ended up not using it because it was supposed to be Twilight in the scene with Turing, but I still happen to think Gadget looks pretty cute in it. We might end up properly finishing it at some point.
Just notifying everyone that the latest chapter is up. It's got a lot of history, a little world-building, and the Turing Test finally begins!
And, as a bonus for followers and longtime readers, how about a little puzzle? Check out the chapter and then come back here for a little bonus. See if you can make sense of this:
Hey it's in the wee hours of Friday right now, but this afternoon my illustrator Greenfinger and I will be doing a drawstream to finish the humanized Turing Test and 002 "Sister Hug" picture started on Wednesday, so come by and join us at 4 pm C on Green's Twitch Channel "GreenfingerDraws!" We always love the company, and we'll both be on hand to answer questions or just chat.
Howdy folks! Did you know the 2025 Turing Test Calendar will include not just U.S. Holidays, but also Canada and MLP-themed holidays too? Well, now you do!
Back in the chapter "Electric Ladyland, Part 2," Turing Test gets rained on by a cloud enchanted by Discord. It ruins her brand new coat of paint and she experiences sadness for the first time. Well, Mr. Green has caught up on some of the artwork and we now have an illustrated version of that scene that has been added to the chapter!
Hey folks! First off, I wanted to say a genuine thank you to everyone who's been reading, faving, and leaving nice comments on my latest story. I see a few of you were even kind enough to read the monster original "Everything's Better With Robots!" It really makes me happy to see people enjoying my work, and I hope that "Human After All" is something you will enjoy! So, since it's been a week after the first chapter's publication, I thought I'd offer a bit of information about
Hey folks, now that it’s New Year’s, thought I’d just give a quick update after my last post with something a bit more straightforward. Just letting you know I’ve been home and out of the hospital for almost a week now, recovering pretty well, and getting back into the swing of things. I see a few more folks have picked up a Turing Test Calendar (still
First, a cryptic little announcement: I got some good news in the mail recently and I'm hopeful that it'll mean good things for "The Iron Horse." We'll see soon enough.
Now, on to the main point of this blog post. In the most recent chapter, Turing Test asks a question I'd planned to have her ask Twilight ever since I was planning the story out in my head:
Hey folks! New story is submitted and new chapter should be ready by tomorrow. But in the meantime, I have a few other treats for you all: preview sketches!
First, Green has been practicing drawing Gadget and just showed me a new design for her. I didn't actually ask him for it, but I do love it and will probably find some use of it soon. It might update the one I have for her in chapter 2.
The finale comes full circle as the fate of Equestria is decided and Turing Test has a request for Twilight Sparkle...
Just a quick note here today. Due to someone requesting the original cover image for The Iron Horse, it has been added to the Gallery along with the textless version of the current cover and the unused cover image Greenfinger came up with. Feel free to check them all out at this link. They're after the chapter illustrations, for the record. I hope you enjoy them!
