I decided to write another microfic for the RariJack prompt tag contest this morning.
3,000 words later, I realized it didn't actually count as a piece of microfiction at that point. And that's not including all the alternate endings that I wrote because I couldn't quite decide how to end it.
So the good news is I have a new story now.
Temptation
Netflix has released a Brazilian satirical web special called The First Temptation of Christ, produced by Porta dos Fundos. Many Christians were outraged, considering it to be blasphemous due to the portrayal of Jesus Christ having a gay lover and Mother Mary smoking marijuana.
That alternate universe tag is looking very tempting right now.
The fourth chapter's up, if you wanna see it. I have no idea what was going through my head, but I decided that Apple Bloom's problem was more important than all else for the moment.
Hopefully we'll see more of her and catch up with the rest of the EoH in the next chapter, but I can't guarantee a thing. My mind's messing with my plans at the moment.
Well... Time definitely flew by. 84 days have gone by out of nowhere... Things have slowed down a little bit so I'm back to going through chapters for notes. I've also been reading new chapters of stuff I keep up with. Hopefully I'll be able to start faving stuff I read. I've bookmarked everything I've read on FF so far and definitely need to start faving stuff... Heck, even being logged in while I read would be a plus, lol...

Long ago, The Lost Narrator notified me that they'd done a reading of Temptation.
I discovered as I went through my blog posts today that I never made a blog post about it.
I'm not really sure how that happened, doubly so as the video now has over 7,000 views.

Can't believe how much time has past since my last update...
Easiest way to say things is that alot of crap happened...
I've been trying to reorganize stuff.
Still haven't faved stuff for both Sofurry or Fimfiction just yet.
...Realized just now that Sofurry had some server issues, so the submission list of stuff I haven't
looked at that people have posted while I was busy, is now a list of just under 500.

After writing six chapters over the past two and half months for Into the Storm: The Flight of Firefly, I'm heading back over to Nightmare Night to resume work there in a few days. But first, I need some down time after the heavy push I put on the last two Firefly chapters, which contained some very difficult action and exposition scenes. I also need to reset my focus and mindset from warfic to clopfic.

It's been a long and patient climb. But for reaching that milestone, a slight change in plans and yet another question to readers:
I asked readers in yesterday’s blog post as to whether they’d like a Nightmare Night side story containing tales of the corruption and conversion of various background ponies, and the answer was a resounding yes. But for it, I’ll have to delay the launch of the final main story chapter I had ready for now so I can launch the new story concurrent with its release. Have to find some artwork, and quickly come up
Thanks in part to one final comment that came to me over PM last night. It wasn't a mean comment. In fact, it was nothing but a simple, politely asked question from a reader I hadn't heard from before: do you have to read the griffon chapters to understand what comes after?
For about the last three years, the last line of my story ideas document has held five words. Right at the bottom, at the very end of the 'crossovers' section (I've never written a crossover, and have only enjoyed reading a single one, so you can see just how low-priority they are for me), it says:

I accidentally overwrote chapter 5 of Temptations and Transformations with chapter 8 when I published the latter. If you're a new reader and were confused—which is likely since the three inside mail worker characters hadn't been introduced yet—my sincerest apologies. It's fixed now, so feel free to go back and read the proper content. Thanks to Cobalt Ravenscroft for pointing it out.
But writing motivation has been lacking as issues in my personal and professional lives have picked up. For the latter, I've worked a slew of additional hours the last couple weeks, and on the home front, I've got a painful shoulder and knee as well as a home desktop that just failed and requires replacement.
Coming in at 6000 words; it'll be a nearly double-length chapter to close out the Ponyville Post Office story arc. Which is not to say we won't hear from this group again, both in this story and in the parent Nightmare Night adult epic! I'd like to thank AJ_Aficionado for the rapid preread, and I'm pleased to report he liked the stuff I was doing. As for who the focus is on, as there's only one unaltered pony left, it'll have to be Priority Parcel by definition, but making him the center
I have been advised by no less an authority than CHS acting Vice-Principal Ms. Cheerilee to use the upcoming Midnight Rising chapter as strictly a recap to relaunch the story, and not get into Lemon Zest until the following chapter, when I can devote a full entry to it without any split in focus. No, really. She did. You’ll see what I mean when the chapter launches, but basically, I’m going to make this kind of an interlude chapter where I catch new or returning readers back up and
Just as soon as my prereaders have finished with it and I've given it an editing pass or three, possibly as soon as tonight. Readers of Nightmare Night who enjoy the figurative plot more than the literal kind may wish to give this one a look, as the chapters are shorter and completely given over to M-rated action without any of the scene-setting or world/character building I've got in the parent story.
