The student six contest submissions window closes tonight! So many people have been posting fics about them. It's been a beautiful thing to watch. Thanks to Miller Minus for being a VISIONARY. Regardless of the outcome, I'm just thankful for the huge burst of content it has inspired.
Now it's on to some of the other characters that have gotten a significant number of episodes devoted to them. First and foremost is what was supposed to be the new mane six, but like many other things in Season 8 turned out underdeveloped and underutilized, the student six (also sometimes called the young or creature six). We've already explored how they stack up as characters, but what about their episodes? Well, that's what we're here to find out.
I'm looking for a story where a wicked villain tries to turn the Royal Sisters into mindless bimbos so that he can rule Equestria through them. Does anyone know one?

It's clear that the Tree of Harmony has a special connection to the Young Six, but it's debatable which Element goes with which character. This makes me wonder if the Elements evolved into new virtues, similar to the way the Elements developed from the Pillars of Light. Just for fun, though, I'm going to attempt to pair the students with the current Elements. Two of the choices seem to be universally accepted among bronies, but my other four picks might be controversial.
Even if they get some kind of role in the upcoming finale, at this point my opinions of the student six (or the young six or the creature six, whatever you wanna call them) have pretty much been set into stone. Silverstream is the artists all over Deviantart and the Equestria Daily Drawfriends. Smoulder is in that same vein, but is less concerned with expressing herself, and more with leaving an impression on people. In our community, she would have chased Horse Fame, and would be perturbed as to why Pony videos don't get so many views as they use to.

Something I noticed with S6 ships is that no one is really willing to experiment with their possible shipping dynamics the same way we do for the Mane 6. Seriously, dig around for a bit, and you’ll find hundreds of fics for literally any arrangement of the Mane 6 paired off. But for the Student 6? It’s pretty much just Gallstream, Yonabar, some Gallbar for flavor and Smolcellus simply because they’re the only two left. I can think of maybe three Smollus fics in total that I have seen on this
