For those of you who don't already know, Stan Lee, the co-founder of Marvel Comics and creator of Spider-Man, passed away yesterday at 95.

Stan Lee created some of the biggest superheroes in the world and saw many of his creations on the big screen. He created many of the characters we've grown up with and loved. I myself was a huge fan of Spider-Man, Wolverine, the X-Men, Captain America, Iron Man, and so many other of his creations. It's sad to see Mr. Lee go.

we all know that he will never be forgotten in any form. but this is a list of some of his greatest cameos. lets hear it for the one and only Stan Lee!!!!!

While this is indeed a sad day, for a legend has passed on to the next great adventure, all is not yet lost. I have heard that a great majority of his cameo's were done in advance. If my information is correct, only about the last dozen Marvel movies will lack a cameo. The man was aware of his advanced age and knew the fate of all men, so he made sure to leave us with as much as possible to remember him by. Even in death, he gives so much to his fans.

I’m sure I’m not the only one blogging over this, and that makes me glad, in a way. Stan Lee has so many adoring fans that we can expect a tidal wave of love to rush forwards in the wake of his passing.

He was a Man, who brought wonder to many.

He was a Myth, for how could one man be responsible for so much work on one contiguous universe?

He was a Legend, for those cameos. So, so many cameos. He will be popping up in our media for years to come.

I know this day had to come sooner or later, given his age. But even then, it still really hurts to read those words.

It grieves me to announce, that apparently Stanley Martin Lieber - or as we all popularly know him, "Stan Lee" - is dead at age 95.

The cause of death has not yet been announced.

This is in some ways to be expected... in fact I am impressed by the fact that he lived to the age he did... but at the same time, it's a very heartbreaking bit of news.

The legend that is Stan Lee has changed so many lives with his comics (my self included), it tears me apart to know that he is not around any more, but his legend will forever live on.
