Would you like the next story to take place in a modernized, realistic Equestria? It would allow me to write quite a bit more than if I use canon Equestria.

Personally, I'm leaning towards something along the lines of "The Equestrian Human" or something, but then it just destroys the naming scheme that I've set for the series.

Space Horse is already nearing it's halfway point of completion, and with that I've already begun planning for the next story in the series.

(Though, I still am undecided on the name.)

I just realized that all the way back in Chapter 1 of Space Horse, I mentioned that Gadget learned her abilities from her parents.

BUT...

Don't forget, the Equestria that'll serve as the setting for the sequel will be one where the humans from Gen. 1 have coexisted with ponies for hundreds, if not thousands of years, meaning that they'd likely have picked up a few skills here and there from the ponies.

Additionally, I still think that the suggested name of “Human Horse” is too funky.

Either way, I’ve decided that Gadget’s actual name given by her parents will be reusing the name of an old OC from the dark abyss of my first days of Fimfiction...

If you haven't realized, I've essentially been using fanfic writing as a way to improve my writing skills, partially so I could try making something completely original, and partially so that I'd have some sort of fallback if something happens.

One of the more obvious stories in which I tried to be a bit more original is Lab Horse and Space Horse, with Equestrian Human tying up the series as of now, but also returning to a much more closely-linked relationship with MLP.

Just because there hasn't been chapter updates doesn't mean that it's not progressing.

I'm currently doing some catch-up in Shattered Rainbow to get that and the main series back in sync as far as time goes, and I currently have ~300 words written for the next yet-to-be-published chapter. Once that's done, I'll get back to Equestrian Human and tie things up across both fics.

I'll post a follow-up blog once it's completed if you wanna see it. For now I'm planning on using it as a way to be able to quickly reference events that happened without having to go back through the story or search the bare-bones storyline I have, since about half of the series is improv while the other half is actually planned.

There seems to be a recent trend pushing for me to ship Ranell and Gadget in my Lab Horse series...

EDIT: Whoops. I was probably getting a bit ahead of myself. It's just a single person suggesting to ship, but it's still something I could easily pull off.

...Not to mention the slew of possibilities that shipping a major character and a minor character would bring in terms of fueling the metaphorical flame of the story...

Next chapter of Equestrian Human is in-production right now, and boy, am I enjoying all this dialogue.

Specifically, the dialogue between Gadget and her dad.
