ZS, BAY, WFT: Moth's Angels Ready To SMASH! · 9:05pm Feb 18th, 2019

Today, the third member of my core Smash team fell into place, and Moth's Angels are set to make their mark...in the epic annals of online fail.
I've now cleared Classic Mode with almost half the character roster.
Anyone who can main Snake has mad respect. I can NOT figure out how to play Snake for the life of me.
I've spent most of today bouncing back and forth between the Spirit Board and WoL (still have a LOOOOOOOONG way to go there.)
I'm also trying to master Wii Fit Trainer as my sub-main. Not sure why.
Ripped hotness.
So today's highlights:
- I am absolutely maining Zero Suit Samus now. It's official.
- After spending some time in the Spirit Board, I checked out Tourney Mode and Classic Mode (1 game each).
- My Classic Mode clear scores tell an...interesting story about how competent I am with characters I don't use/haven't used/can't use properly. For most characters, I'm clearing Classic Mode with a score between 250k-350k. For Zero Suit Samus (my main)? 840k.
- Nintendo kind of hates Luigi, don't they? I mean, they go out of their way to make him a whiny bitch.
I finally got around to uploading some actual videos of me playing Smash. They're not fancy or anything, just straight rips off my Switch's microSD card. Behold as I suck in all my noobish glory!
(I'm player one in all of the following videos, obviously.)
But sometimes things get a little...weird.
Legend battles on the Spirit Board
Especially when I finally manage to tip the odds in my favor and am within 2 good hits of winning, and then get KOed with one solid hit. After trying for like 40 minutes.
The whole shield minigame thing after ANY Spirit Battle
ESPECIALLY when I'm out of SP and have just beaten a Legend or Ace by the skin of my teeth. GAAAAH. That just makes you want to throw EVERYTHING in the toilet, man.
Not much Smash to report today. I've started working my way through Classic Mode with the fighters I've unlocked. So far I've cleared it with Mario, Link, DK, Samus, and Zero Suit Samus.
Master Hand needs to go find a dick to play with. Seriously.
Why do I have to close the game itself to exit Adventure mode? That is all.
It's 2nd Best Roll! :D ...but wait, her game was never on Nintendo...?
FUCK THIS BATTLE. JUST FUCK THIS BATTLE RIGHT UP THE ASS.
Didn't clock a lot of Smash time today because today was mostly a lazy do-nothing day. Like, all the do nothings. Like, spent most of the day asleep or watching TV nothing.
Got my ass kicked, natch.
Getting my ass kicked by a LOT of Ace and Legend class spirit board battles, too. Unrelated tangent, I'm thinking of sometime this weekend (this evening or tomorrow maybe?) opening an online battle where every player has to use Duck Hunt as their fighter.
No reason, I just think it'll be really funny. Let me know if anyone's interested!
We interrupt out usual Magical Girl Gushing/Personal Excuses blogs you're used to from me for something a little diffferent. This is made for Mythril Moth's little project, where you make your own description of a trailer for a new Smash character, with card, move set, all the shebang. I had three ideas.
Sunset Shimmer doesn't quite fit this world, plus too obvious.
I need to play as Inkling next time I play; I unlocked her (him? It? Squit?) last thing before I quit for the night.
So I has Smash Ultimate now. It's been years since I last played Smash, and I was never any good at it.
I'm still not.
Still havin' fun though.
So this is my fourth day of Smash Ultimate. I've got a LOT of fighters yet to unlock and playtest. Then there's the DLC fighters that aren't even out yet. And I'm by no means anything remotely resembling good at this game.
But I believe I've found my top three mains.
#3: Link. Good balance, good arsenal of melee and ranged attacks, Specials and Smashes are good at kicking ass.
#2: Pikachu. Fast, lots of ranged attacks, and Thunderbolt is broken af.
We've all got at least one character we'd love to see in Smash, even if it'll never happen. Wrong platform, not a video game character, etc. -- for whatever reason, they'll just never be in Smash, even though it'd be awesome if they were.
And anyone who's ever dreamed of seeing a character appear in Smash has scripted that perfect reveal trailer in their head, right?
So, here's a creative writing exercise for everyone:
