So. I was thinking the other day.

I have a bunch of mini scene ideas for the Mistress of the Everfree universe, but most of them can’t fit into the main story. I can fit in flashbacks and all that, but, well, some of these ‘ideas’ are just pointless fluff. That, or something to help world build but, again, it would just be awkward in the main story.

So, ended up distracted today with a bit of an idea, courtesy of a prompt in one of the Discord servers I'm in. An hour later, I had the 1000 word rough draft of a one-shot set in the Rubicon Universe. My editor and I are now in the process of hacking it apart and rebuilding it into something worthy of being posted here.
