As you can likely tell from the title of this blog, I've opted for my next story to be a side story to Even Stars can Fall. It centers around five ponies mentioned back in chapter one and I think I'll really enjoy writing it. Anyway, here is a dumb and completely non-canon scene I wrote when I needed to write words and couldn't think of what to do next during NaNo '13.

The moral of the story? Keep writing, I guess. Even when all you can come up with is silly stuff like this. When all else fails, just copy a scene from a movie or tv show :P

While Ben's adventure is barely begun, I am starting to think of a way to include some world-building info which might not fit into the main narrative: namely, the back story on Mule London's history after the Event. I have already conjured up a founding figure for the city (hence its name); and hope to figure out how they preserved a bit of civilization in a world overturned.
