On the topic of that email security freakout from yesterday · 8:48pm Dec 6th, 2017

So, I took some time looking it up. Some had a similar problem of an iOS device showing up in their list of devices, and it turns out that it was because a Google Hangouts program they had installed identified itself as an iOS client for authentication.

Guess who else uses a 3rd party Google Hangouts app?

Yup. Turns out it's just a Windows app identifying itself as iOS.

At least I doubled my password length.

minor security scare. · 3:04am Dec 6th, 2017

So, I got a notification on my phone that a new device signed in using my email address yesterday. It was an iPhone, and signed in from Arizona, one state below me. Naturally, I freaked after finding out about this.

Half an hour later, I've changed my password twice, the second time after realizing that I should make it even longer, and turned on two-step verification.

Had a Funny Convo with a Friend · 8:26pm Sep 1st, 2018

It was involving the Baen stories and if I'll continue them into the present season, despite earlier posts on the subject, I'm still figuring it out. But the topic was, 'What would Twilight put Baen as in terms of a School of Friendship position?'. We both agreed he'd be Campus security. Granted he'd be a tad dissapointed that Twilight didn't make him a Teacher.

Twilight: It's not so bad being Campus Security, it's actually an essential position.

Site Post » Multi Factor Authentication · 10:22pm Jun 12th, 2015

We've actually had this ready to go for like 2 weeks but kept forgetting to deploy it. Smart huh?

Anyway, the site now has multi factor authentication! yay! What does that mean I hear you ask? Well, you can now add an extra level of security to your account by adding an additional login step that requires use of a phone/tablet/other device. It's totally optional though.

Everything has gone wrong and I don't know how to fix it. I have VERY IMPORTANT things to sort out and can't because nothing is working for me no matter what I try! · 10:47pm Nov 11th, 2020

Well, jack shit is working for me on some of the sites I frequent and it's a major problem to me because I need to check on them. I have things listed on there that I need to see and communicate with with due to my situation of needing to lighten my load before I move back home, and I can't do any of that for whatever excuse these sites have.

Eternal salvation · 3:25pm May 14th, 2017

God did not leave us without a Hope of salvation. That Hope is Jesus Christ. All who believe in Him are saved. He turns away no one who turns to Him; "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. (John 6:37).

Having troubles... · 2:49pm Apr 5th, 2017

Lately, when I come to this site, this really annoying "Security alert" comes up, saying that the certificate is not valid. I click yes on the question "do you want to proceed?" but instantly another one pops up. Irrespective of how much I either hit yes or X out, it keeps coming back. I even turned off the “Check for publisher’s certificate revocation” and “check for server certificate revocation”

For Paris, France · 9:11am Nov 14th, 2015

I know that nobody's likely awake to read this right now, but I just heard... Paris was recently attacked by a set of simultaneous terrorist attacks. So many are dead now. I can't even fathom why people have the mind to do these things to other people. All the attackers are reported dead thanks to the efforts of Parisian police and other emergency security forces.

Blog Entry: Ramadan 15, Anno Hegirae 1438 · 9:36pm Jun 10th, 2017

OK, this is a little late, but screw it, I think I'll do these on Saturdays anyways. I haven't gotten any work done on Blueblood (or the popes), mainly because I'm taking another class on Cyber Security (this one more hands-on and very involved), and it tends to leave my brain hurting a little. It also involves an hour-plus drive, both ways, and my mother and stepfather invite me over for dinner so I can wait out traffic (which is nice, getting to talk to my family). As a result, I don't

REVIEW: Rainbow Dash and The Daring Do Double Dare · 9:11am Sep 26th, 2016

I still don't have GlimGlam book. :fluttershysad: Finished reading Princess Cadance book, but I don't feel like reviewing it just yet. As further irrational punishment, Discord book has been pushed forward to the previous week!

This Rainbow Dash book is a weird book, so I'm going to review it in a weird way. The next part below the break is going to seem completely unrelated. And it is. But trust me on this. I'd never leave Ponyville hanging. :rainbowwild:
