Some more old drafts · 6:42pm Sep 16th, 2020

So looking through the good ol google drive I found a draft for chapter one of Gambler's Respite, supposed to show off Chum and Carrow gambling against each other and do some other things. The scene itself ain't done, at least the prologue I posted was complete. Would ya'll want me to post the half finished chapter 1? As said in the previous blog and in the authors note of the Prologue I won't be finishing it most likely

Interest in a raw chapter? · 7:19am Jan 20th, 2016

I'm almost at my halfway point of 5k for my first chapter of Till the End of the Beginning. Would anyone be interested in reading what's been written so far for the first draft of the chapter? I'd be interested in any thoughts on it. I'm definitely trying to go all out on this story not just with the length but also with quality.

I keep on dying again.
Veins collapse, opening like the
Small fists of sleeping
Children.
Memory of old tombs,
Rotting flesh and worms do
Not convince me against
The challenge. The years
And cold defeat live deep in
Lines along my face.
They dull my eyes, yet
I keep on dying,
Because I love to live.

Not seeing, still we know —
Not knowing, guess —
Not guessing, smile and hide
And half caress —

And quake — and turn away,
Seraphic fear —
Is Eden's innuendo
"If you dare"?

Dear Starlight Glimmer,

Your extension of friendship is heartily accepted and most welcome! I will cherish it all my days. Perhaps we should meet word with deed and meet for tea? I'd hate for you to feel that I am out of reach. If we are to be friends, then let us be so in earnest. I am not SO busy that I cannot spare a moment to chat in person.

A sneakpeek into the next chapter · 3:00am Nov 30th, 2017

Twilight could not help but squirm in her seat, she tried to not look to antsy - even if she was failing miserably.

When she was half dragged here by Rarity she quickly rushed out saying something about her boutique, leaving Twilight and Lee Roy with the spa sisters.

She would say Lee Roy looked a little overwhelmed, if he didn’t look so stoic all the time. He peers around listening closely as the spa sisters give him a small tour around the spa.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!

I had withdrawn in forest, and my song
Was swallowed up in leaves that blew alway;
And to the forest edge you came one day
(This was my dream) and looked and pondered long,
But did not enter, though the wish was strong:
You shook your pensive head as who should say,
‘I dare not—too far in his footsteps stray—
He must seek me would he undo the wrong.

Not far, but near, I stood and saw it all
Behind low boughs the trees let down outside;

I've thrown away my toys, even my drum and train.
I wanna make some noise with real live aeroplanes.
Some day I'm going to fly, I'll be a pilot too.
And when I do, how would you like to be my crew?

On The Good Ship Lollipop.
It's a sweet trip to a candy shop
Where bon-bons play
On the sunny beach of Peppermint Bay.

Lemonade stands everywhere
Crackerjack bands fill the air
And there you are
Happy landing on a chocolate bar.

See the sugar bowl do the tootsie roll

Pinkie: "Come on Fluttershy! Let's watch some Naruto!"

Fluttershy: "We could watch, um, my compost heap. It's the same thing."

Pinkie Pie: "Did you just call my anime tastes garbage?"

Fluttershy: "Oh no, garbage can be recycled. Compost just needs to be repurposed altogether."

Twilight: "Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are doing something I've never seen either of them do, and it scares me."

Dash: "What?"

Twilight: "They seem to be... angry with each other."

Conscience is instinct bred in the house,
Feeling and Thinking propagate the sin
By an unnatural breeding in and in.
I say, Turn it out doors,
Into the moors.
I love a life whose plot is simple,
And does not thicken with every pimple,
A soul so sound no sickly conscience binds it,
That makes the universe no worse than 't finds it.
I love an earnest soul,
Whose mighty joy and sorrow
Are not drowned in a bowl,
And brought to life to-morrow;
That lives one tragedy,

Ah Sunflower, weary of time,
Who countest the steps of the sun;
Seeking after that sweet golden clime
Where the traveller's journey is done;

Where the Youth pined away with desire,
And the pale virgin shrouded in snow,
Arise from their graves, and aspire
Where my Sunflower wishes to go!

A learned man came to me once.
He said, "I know the way, -- come."
And I was overjoyed at this.
Together we hastened.
Soon, too soon, were we
Where my eyes were useless,
And I knew not the ways of my feet.
I clung to the hand of my friend;
But at last he cried, "I am lost."

My father knows the proper way
   The nation should be run;
He tells us children every day
   Just what should now be done.
He knows the way to fix the trusts,
   He has a simple plan;
But if the furnace needs repairs,
   We have to hire a man.

My father, in a day or two
   Could land big thieves in jail;
There's nothing that he cannot do,
   He knows no word like "fail."
"Our confidence" he would restore,
   Of that there is no doubt;
But if there is a chair to mend,

Blind Filly Sequel First Chapter Draft? · 9:25am Nov 25th, 2016

Rough draft, not even a single 1k yet. Quick question to you, the readers.

Does what I have so far embody the ramblings from a little girl? It's not too far disconnected that it only feels like someone intentionally writing the part and trying to make you clumsily believe it, I guess is what I'm trying to avoid.

On the planet of Mars
They have clothes just like ours,
And they have the same shoes and same laces,
And they have the same charms and same graces,
And they have the same heads and same faces…
But not in the
Very same
Places.

Fever Dreams of a Trampoline:

My name is Princess, and I like short skirts and explosions. Today's story includes a little of the first, and a lot of the second. Bad ponies are doing bad things bad things with poison joke, and as long as Cadance's checks aren't bouncing, it's my job to stop them.

I don’t know what I’m smelling anymore.
I smell wood. There is no wood. Just air. It makes me sick.
I wish there was wood. Then I wouldn’t feel so lonely.

I smell leaves.
They’re new. Except they’re not. They’re dead. They’ve been dead. They crunch under my feet as I walk.
Crunch crunch. Like chips.
I wish i had chips.

Walking is dumb. Flying is better.
I try and fly. I scrape my knee. It hurts. I watch the blood run down my leg.
I don’t feel it. It’s just there.

I hear voices.
