My criteria are the same, so go check out the other list for that. If you didn’t see a story that you think should be here, it may just be on the original list.

Everyone else is getting in on it after "School Daze", Equestria Daily is even holding a poll to find out who the best student is. So I'm going to do the same. Obviously, this list is the result of my personal opinion, so please respect it. And I have a feeling I'm gonna be coming back and updating this list at some point. Either during the mid season hiatus (assuming there is one, which there probably will be) or after Season 8 ends.
6. Sandbar
This had to be done at some point, and as far as I know no one else has yet done this. Sure, we've got people saying who their favorite pillar/legend is, but no one's been saying anything about how they'd stack them up overall. So, unless I'm somehow mistaken, allow me to start a precedent. Of course, as always, this list is purely the result of my personal opinion and is in no way official.
6. Mistmane
While this isn't where the characters fall overall for me (that ranking can be found on my DeviantArt account in this journal.) after everything that happened in the second half of Season 9 and across those last thirteen episodes, this ranking definitely needed to change. Did the number one spot change and if so who now holds it?
With Starlight Glimmer joining the main cast of characters, the time has come to once again rank them from least favorite to most favorite. Since Mane Seven already included Spike and the mane six, and Starlight is now part of the group, Mane Eight was necessary.
8. Starlight Glimmer
Maybe it's a bit too soon, since we still have over half a season to go and a lot could change since then. But some things have happened since then, so I think it's to reevaluate where our eight main characters stand. Here's the original list, pushed out just after Season 5 wrapped up. Chances are this list will update again once Season 6 ends, but we'll have to wait and see. In the mean time, let's find out who
It's probably a bit early to be doing this, as we still have half a season to go. But I think there's enough to work with to update the rankings for the Student Six (even if they've appeared so infrequently they might as well not exist). Here's the first version, from March. Even though we've only gotten 12 episodes instead of the usual 13, it's time to see how Season 6's first half stacks up against the first half (or the only half in Season 3's case) of every other season to see how it's doing. But before we do that, let's see how the first 12 episodes of Season 6 stack up. Remember, this is by no means official.

Well, another season has come and gone, and it's been quite a ride. I have to admit, this season has more than any other given me the most cause for concern about the show, and there were times I was worried it would be the first season in my book not to top the previous season. But was that actually the case? Well, before we find out, let's take a look at our episodes in the second half and how I'd rank them. Despite how much I ragged on about the finale being so underwhelming, was it really enough to drag down Season 8 or is it possible that Season 8 is actually better than even I'm giving it credit for? I assume that most everyone uses a system from one to five, but what that entails can be very different from person to person. For instance, here is how I rank my episodes;
