This blog will serve as a directory for the blogs I have and will post for the grammar and punctuation lessons. I know it must be difficult and annoying to dig through all my blogs to find them, especially if you need to read up on something, so I will post links to each blog (lesson) here for your convenience. As I post more lessons, I will add the links here. Enjoy!
Introduction
Subject to Your Consideration
The subject is the part of the sentence that performs the action indicated by the verb. In the sentence "Pickles Explode." the noun pickles is the subject. The subject of any sentence is a noun. The complete subject, as opposed to the simple subject, is a noun together with its modifiers.
I'm very sorry I've neglected to begin the lessons as I'd planned before. However, my excuse is completely relevant, as I've been busy with more life stuffs. Allow me the next week to get around to it, as it will be quite the lesson to start out with. Thanks for the patience!
So, a couple things I want to talk about regarding the story. First, a minor edit that I've made throughout the past chapters. Turns out, I may have been punctuating thoughts wrong. I was reading a little story online, and found character thoughts were often written like this:
This is how it's done! I thought to myself.
Looking back, I found out that I STARTED writing thoughts like this, but at some point I started quoting them in apostrophes, like so:

Just kidding. I don't speak that way. 
Anyway...
Good Wording: Parts of Speech
In general, words have characteristics that enable them to function in language:
• Words have meaning.
• Words can be joined together into structures, such as phrases, clauses, and sentences.
• Words take different forms that determine their meaning and dictate how they fit together.
Alright, disregard what many might think, punctuation between spanish and english actually differs in ways that seem too dumb to exist, but they do anyway.
In this case, I'm not talking about commas, periods, full stops and all those funny guys that pretty much all languages use the same way, but I'm talking about the use of em dashes and quotation marks.
This is Grammer a Week, the periodic blog program-thing where I address a frequently broken grammar rule and tell you how to fix it. This week's installment is about quotation marks. The rules for placing punctuation about quotation marks are complicated. Each of the comma, period, exclamation point, and question mark have multiple rules for placement. What's worse, those rules change depending on where you live!
