Normally, I don't give a fuck about the Oscars (mostly because I find it questionable about how much they give a fuck about the Best Animated Feature category) · 6:25pm Mar 28th, 2022

But this definitely made my day:

For the record, I like Chris Rock. He's a funny guy and he managed to brilliantly roll with the punches (or slap) in this situation. Which leaves me wondering why people are making a big fuss about it:

After watching I felt bad for Will Smith. It all make sense now after the Oscar. She is slowly turning into a horrible man and we are seeing the effect of it.

I hope Will divorce her. She's belong to the street, hope she got a cap to cover her bald head.

So, what, your wife takes dicks better than you take jokes?

Hope your reputation takes a serious hit, you fucking douche. Hell, you should be arrested for assault.

Oscar Mayer's horrid abomination · 11:02am Sep 27th, 2020

I previously stated that I don't mind trying mayo flavoured ice cream, but this... is a whole new level of disgusting. 🤢

Oscar Mayer unveiled this atrocious item last year and I don't know if they stopped making them. Hot dog and ice cream don't go well together. What are they thinking?!

Thoughts on the Oscars slap · 3:17am Apr 1st, 2022

To be fair, both Will Smith and Chris Rock are in the wrong. While Chris maintained professionalism, took it in stride, and kept the ceremony going, it's inappropriate that he made a G.I. Jane joke to Jada Pinkett Smith who is diagnosed with alopecia. Making fun of someone's medical condition is not okay.

Art--for art's sake, autotelic, autonomous, and autopoietic · 3:05am Nov 29th, 2017

There are three confusing phrases used frequently in art theory that all seem to mean the same thing, but don't.  They have a long history of being rhetorically abused, because people are more certain that they all mean something good, than they are about what they mean.  Many people have tried to [win arguments without making them] by changing the meanings of these phrases.   Today they've been adapted to use as a shell game, so people can avoid being called out on their contradictory beliefs

Review: Drive (2011) · 2:07am Dec 4th, 2015

Nicolas Winding Refn's brutal, bare bones neo-noir tale is a dreamlike, intensely cerebral thriller, interspersed with explosions of brutal, uncompromising violence. Combine that with Refn's supremely singular visual motif of primary colors, and hyper stylized slow motion, and you have an incredibly unique, yet vital entry into the genre.
