I'm so tired of reading one shot clopfics. I need to take the time to read some stories that have more than 5k words. I havn't done that since 2017.

Hey everyone, doing a small notice in a blog post so there isn't a wasted chapter.
First off, I'm having some issues IRL...so I can't write much. I apologize for this but, issues are issues. If I could write any quicker I would, as I don't want to let the fans that I have down. But any attempt to write quicker than I can will make the quality of the story suffer. I hope you all understand.
I have made good progress of recent on the next chapter of "The Good Fight", but in doing so, the darn thing has gotten so long that I'm beginning to think that I'll need another chapter to finally finish the story. I know I should probably go for something shorter, but there are a lot of loose ends to tie up. (one of my readers suggested introducing a shotgun into the mix, but I did promise not to let things get that grim). Anyway, I should have things worked out by the end of the week, God
Still trying to stay on track for the final chapter of "The Good Fight", but it is proving to be challenging to get everything in I want in a way that makes sense. And of course, there is the challenge of human conversation. I hope that people aren't bored with all the talk, but I am going just a bit outside of pure canon, and I want to make sure that what I'm doing makes sense to the reader. I doubt that I'll finish before the 1st, but the story will finish soon. I think I'm ready to go in a
There's a saying in writing "Take from one source, it's plagiarism. Take from ten sources, it's theft. Take from thirty sources, it's considered a tribute. Take from a hundred sources, it's considered worldbuilding." Sometimes, when reading a fic, I find an idea I like. This post will be comprised of ideas I like, where I found them and who wrote the stories the idea came from.
Professor Sparky Sweets takes all us players on a journey through Christopher Marlowe's classic tale of a man making a deal with the devil. It's Doctor Faustus.
IN WHICH SURPRISE
Thank you for reading this latest entry in Sunset's Recovery Arc. This is a story I've never mentioned before in any previous blogpost, so you might be surprised it's here. Well, so am I. Allow me to explain after the jump.
First, a big thanks to Georg for pre-reading, and to Conflicting Views, DarkEven, and thatotherguy, for helping with French translations.
Hello and thank you for reading this little story. I never expected to write a followup to Lows & Highs, but then a lot of impossible things have happened lately, none of them good. Here are my quick thoughts on RVSS@4.
Hey guys. I'm working on some minor edits on both Bits and Pieces and Bed Time Stories. Using the Authors notes, each chapter will now come with a summary, warnings and notes, since the nature of each entry is a standalone that way you guys, and new readers, can pick and choose which chapter to read or skip. Just finished doing this to Bits and Pieces, sometime this week Bed Time Stories should be done.
Pre-read by metallusionismagic and AShadowOfCygnus. Let's all give them a round of applause.
I released a new story recently for the Most Delightful Ponidox Contest, Time Enough, and here are some of my thoughts on it. This post contains spoilers, so go read the story first. But maybe don't read the comments.
First though, I have to kick the elephant in the room.
Hello and welcome to these extra notes on my latest story, Night Of Faded Sun. As you can imagine, this was an incredibly difficult story to write, and I hope you liked it, or at least didn't hate it. To be honest, I'm scared to have posted it. Follow me, if you'd like, past the jump for more thoughts.
Before I get into the long format author's notes, let me talk a bit about meta stuff.
Firstly, I'm going to attempt having a consistent schedule, which means delaying chapters that are ready just to give myself time to write the following one.
A lot of people know that Everfree Northwest is oriented towards writers (which is one of the reasons I wanted to go), and of course every year they host a contest called Scribblefest, which I got an honorable mention in one year.
But you might not know about the Iron Writer competition.
I was poking through my hard drive and discovered the original outlines I had for The 63rd Rune. I figured I'd share them.
Chapter 2(?):
- Main cast goes to collect things
- RD flies to cloud house
- Rarity goes to boutique
- Finds suits instead of dresses
- Sweetie Bell calls her "Elusive"
- Elusive tells SB she needs to watch the boutique
- Applejack goes to farm
- Greeted by Applebloom, still called Applejack
- Big Mac asks where Applejack went
As every good story has a beginning, a middle, and an end, so does The Rescue Service. In this blog post I’m going to pontificate a bit over the beginning – essentially author’s notes that did not feel appropriate to release while the story was updating. If everything goes well, I may get time to speak about the middle and the end later.
(Spoilers ahoy!)
Pre-read by AShadowOfCygnus!
I'm not trolling you this time around; Aphrodite really is in this story and she looks just like that.
AN ADMISSION
As I wait for this story to post, I wonder how many downvotes it'll get. Probably several.
IN WHICH I ACTUALLY POSTED IT
After well over a month of procrastination, I've finally, FINALLY posted Anon-A-Fix. But first, have some Babymetal.
I do have a few things to say about this story long-in-the-making after the jump, if you'll follow me.
