To all who have lost people due to international conflict, to all the heroes who served not only their countries, but their families, to all who have seen something worse than hell, because hell doesn't have innocent civilians, and to those who had to ory over whether or not they could see their faces one last time...

Remember this feeling. And learn from it.

On another note: my Grandma is no longer sick, but she's still pretty weak.

As is the usual, there will not be a Being a Better Writer post today because "Hey! It's Memorial Day!" Instead of reading on writing, go enjoy the holiday. Three day weekends are always the best. My mother got out of the hospital this most recent Wednesday, and so I've been spending this weekend hanging around with her and helping her get use to the lifestyle that comes with a loss of limb. But it turns out that all this time I was wrong about Memorial Day being May 24th. It's actually May 31st. I had it in my head for some reason that Memorial Day can't fall on the last day of May, but I was wrong. And it's a good thing I said something to my coworkers about it on Friday, or I would have stayed home on Monday without thinking and been essentially AWOL.
