Hey folks, just dropping off an update. A very, very quick one. Why? Because the news itself is that I’m currently in the finale of Axtara – Magic and Mayhem. And … I’d really rather be writing that right now.
Luckily, I think most of you readers would agree that it’s worth getting this short post in exchange for Axtara on a closer timetable.
Here is another short blog giving everyone an update on how the story is doing at current.
Firstly, sorry for no updates since November. I've been caught up trying to get editing done, while simultaneously trying to write something for Shrink Laureate's Season 10 Bingo Contest.

I’m kidding, of course. But yes, this is a substantial news post. After blitzing 13,000 words in two days—including one where I was up until 3 AM writing—the draft of Axtara – Magic and Mayhem is now complete.
Writing and selling books is an interesting experience. Some days things look fantastic, like you’ve reached new heights. Other days you look at the numbers for a week and wonder what happened, and if it was something you did or just the fickleness of the market.
Hello there! As a continuation of the last two weeks, things are going to be a little bit different today. With Axtara 2 drawing ever closer to flying free into the world, we’re continuing to give Axtara fans a little bonus to tide you over until her newest adventure is in your claws.
Well, this week was kind of a bust. Not great when you’re on a schedule but …
The basic gist of it, folks, is that I caught a cold that’s been going around. Cough, stuffy nose, some soreness. Oh, and a fuzzy head, which pretty par for the course when getting sick.

Unsurprisingly, it’s been a little rough trying to pull my head back into work. It’s … part of grief, as I understand it.

Okay, that’s unfair. Obviously a lot. But the core statement above is true: Axtara – Magic and Mayhem is now in Alpha. Everyone’s favorite dragoness banker is back for another cozy adventure, and is still aiming for a pre-Christmas release!
That’s right! It’s happening! Axtara – Magic and Mischief (formerly Magic and Mayhem, and Mischief isn’t final yet) is now in Beta!
Oh yes. Some of you might have wondered when there was no news post yesterday, but I think you’ll decide that this was well worth the wait.
That’s right: It’s the Alpha Call. It’s here!

A simple and sweet plain-old news roundup for this week, folks. Feels like it’s been a while since one of those.
I think it says something that I was enjoying working on Axtara – Magic and Mayhem‘s draft enough that I almost completely forgot about making a news post today.
I did forget about it yesterday. Because Axtara is awesome, and she’s a lot of fun to write.
