WELP.
I didn't even bother signing up for NaNoWriMo this year. These days I find myself returning home from my Real People Job without the brainpower to produce more than a paragraph or two (on a good night!), much less the 1667 words daily to hit the arbitrary 50k mark.
Flash Sentry, the waifu stealer everyone hates, is now dead, in my story "Ponysona 3: The Nightmare Hour" He was playing in the roll of Shinjiro, who if you don't know *SPOILER ALERT* dies in persona 3, and now, I have gotten to that part, it's a tad emotional (if you actually like Flash) and also satisfying (if you hate him) so go give the newest chapter "My Death (Flash's P.O.V)" a read

If you are reading this then you are interested in my notes on my writing of Side A The Guard. Know that this is completely optional and has no bearing on the story. This is more to force me to critically analyze my own story and identify what went well and what went bad. With that let's start the post-mortem.
The Good Stuff
1) Flash Sentry's Characterization
...by myself gets me thinking about random sh*t. For example, who decided what order the alphabet should be in and why did they put it in that order? Why are peace and piece two separate words but pronounced the same? How did fish develop a taste for worms? Why do certain animals focus so much time cleaning their butt?

Been a while since I've done one of these, but for those who don't know I like to write post mortems on my big stories and talk about the process, what worked, what didn't, etc.
Obviously, spoilers. Though to be honest if you haven't read the story I'm not sure why you're reading this. Just in case turn back now or be spoiled forever!

Standard warnings: the entire story is spoiled here, but yet again I wonder why you would read this if you hadn't read the initial story.

So yeah! Been busy these last few days, and the next few days will be ... also busy. Probably doesn't help that I'm currently dog-sitting three big lovable hooligans, either. I mean, they're good dogs (mostly), but they're still a handful.
In any case, in case you've not been paying attention for whatever reason, I just posted a new chapter of Octavia's Eleven. Woo?

P.S. Wow, I've done this so many times that I'm not even bothering to explain myself anymore. 
I tend to avoid reading any of the adaptation of the show fics cause most of them tend to be exactly same with OC characters just stand there and states the obvious and that's it.... what is the whole point of reading adaptation fic if it's going to be exactly same as the show? (There's some that do make a big change and one of them is pairing Rarity with Prince Blueblood of all ponies.... I never understood that pairing. 
)
Considering that they have similar coat colours, are guards, and have similar first names. Could they be related?

Oh hey! Finished up The Good, the Bad, and the Sentry. Which ... despite having a rather low view count, has popped up (however briefly) in the Featured Box? And it's in the lower-three slots which means that it got featured BEFORE, somehow? Guess y'all were just reading the story when I wasn't looking, I guess?
They say that Top Gun was a two-hour advertisement for itself; Equestria Girls was a one-hour highlights reel of itself. If it had been three hours long, the fandom would have hailed it as a classic of its genre; two hours, and it would have been brisk and engaging, if a little cursory in spots; with the one-hour runtime we actually got, it was a sort of corporate faceplant. You have to take the movie's word for it on a lot of things, and you have to watch the subtext like a hawk;
Alright, first off, thanks to everybody who zinged some fic reccs at me yesterday! I've poked at them a little bit, but there's still a crapload of stuff to read, so that should keep me distracted for awhile.
And, in turn, for distractions of your own, you can check out my latest story that I've just updated: The Prisoner of Zebra. The new chapter features ninjas. What's not to like about that, huh?
With the recent success of Forward and the first chapter of Princess, I think it's time to open up a few details regarding upcoming projects.
First is obviously the second chapter of Princess, which might end up being a three-part story instead of the initial two-part deal. In this chapter, we learn more about Ponente and her reasons for kidnapping the royals, plus see some worldbuilding for Zebrica.
As I said previously, on my trip out West I had plenty of time to work on headcanons for the various Equestria Girls characters.
The Principals were the first set I finished, and after them I started work on two other EG characters.
Later, perhaps this weekend, I'll post the final set of headcanons I worked on during my trip.
But tonight, here are thoughts I've had about a certain, (unfairly) infamous guy with a love of playing the guitar.
