Explaining Princess Celestia v. Princess Luna · 1:52am Dec 15th, 2016
I had an inkling of why, perhaps, the naming is uneven between the Two Sisters, which I believe I shall use henceforth.

I Intended my stories to have a chronological order, and in the MLP FiM timeline take place after Season 6. They are meant to re-use existing canon from the show, while adding some of my own (New characters and challenges to overcome). Think of it as an alternate timeline called "Season 6.5", which includes a premiere and finale that are longer than other stories. After the finale I may make another set of stories if 6.5 gains popularity.
I'm divided. I liked it, but not as much as I'd like to like it, or maybe it's a matter of how critically respectable it might be to like it. The sincerity of the ending graciously offset a lot of the wink-wink-nudge-nudge stuff, which is lucky because MLP is pretty much the only show from which I tolerate that kind of guilelessness. But because it is MLP, namely its own specific show, it was sorta like, a little bit here and there is great, but leave the Doctor and Jeff
A peer and pre-reader of mine pointed me to a blog post that went into as much detail about what makes the Mane 6 "tenders their loins" as I do, but as a blog post. Since I wrote a story where my fanon on the subject was a big chunk of it, I've now decided to clarify these details in my very first blog post on here.
I STILL AM GONNA ADD THIS BADASS MOTHAFUCKA TO THE FIC, AS A DEAD BASTARED!!!
Maybe I should stick to writing about canon characters, right?
Ok, lets have some fun today and talk about what canon, head canon and fanon are, and my favorite head canon.
Canon, I think we all know what this is, official facts from the show and official tie in products (books and comics)
Head canon, I think most are familiar with this one, its something a fan, writer or artist comes up with, a fact to fill in holes in the canon
Getting back on the rant pony for a bit.
One of the criticisms I see lobbied frequently at Equestria Girls is that there's too many "slice of life" episodes.
As opposed to what in FiM? Just about 80% of the given episodes could be a "slice of life" stories. Yes, even ones where a character is called by the map. The big climactic events are the outliers, not the norm. Seriously, how many "big" events have we had over the course of the series?
Glad tidings to you as we shimmy up to the exit of the holiday season, and of 2020 as a whole. Today I've nothing more or less than a spotlight to shine on two Hearth's Warming stories about which I'm biased, and a brief note about a character in my recent story. I can't call these "reviews" because of my personal stake in them; but in both cases I'd call these "criminally underrated" and in need of a signal boost.
So you are all aware of the Midnight Sparkle Friendship Games toy that has been in shelves for a while now. According to some, it represents Sci Twi corrupted with magic.
Now, I'd like to draw your attention to the toy's packaging.
Look at the background. What do you see?
Ponyville and CHS in some sort of rift.
Now I want you to reread PEG for me one more time.
Yeah, same thing.
I've been vacillating about this a lot. On the one hand, it feels kinda spoilery. On the other, with the current atmosphere of "that character is/isn't 'x orientation' because I interpret how the author wrote them as being despite their authorial intent" that's going on in literature/movies/video-games/TV/etc, I kinda want an open, clear record of "here's my intent with my characters." This mostly got kicked off by the whole thing with Winter Soldier / Falcon and Sam & Frodo from Lord of the
For about the last three years, the last line of my story ideas document has held five words. Right at the bottom, at the very end of the 'crossovers' section (I've never written a crossover, and have only enjoyed reading a single one, so you can see just how low-priority they are for me), it says:
Twilight Sparkle in South Park
I just watched the 100th episode. I loved everything about it. Not much else to say other then I wish we had more then twenty minutes of background ponies and that Amethyst Star didn't have a bit more screen time.
Hey there.
So. At the end of Season 3 I think Celestia said that all the events of Seasons 1, 2 and 3 took place over the course of a year.
What I'm wondering is how many years have passed since then? (Specifically I'm wondering about how much time has passed between the end of Season 5 and sayyyy episode 11 of Season 8. For reasons.)
The above question was asked by my mother several months ago based on my writing. (Note: she is fine with this and actually linked me an article about Scootaloo’s Auntie Lofty and Holiday when episode aired.) My response was, “Well, it’s just implied, but the fans are pretty convinced.” But now… well, let’s talk Episode 23. (Spoilers after the break.)
This is probably gonna piss off the die-hard Hasbro defenders, but I really don't care. It has to be said. Spike's finale design was UGLY as FUCK. He should've been the most human-looking character out of the entire cast. Instead Hasbro went the Sonic Boom route and made him a big dumb idiot. Even during the series he was usually the butt of the joke. It was actually really fucking sad considering Twilight was supposed to be the big sister/surrogate mother role. I'm not a good artist by any
