Well, I find myself agreeing with another redditor who said that this E3 is showing all the signs of "the year before the next gen."
By and large, this has been one lackluster show from nearly all participants, with a couple exceptions.

On the eve of E3 2017, let's look back at what was undoubtedly the biggest mic drop in the history of the expo; Jack Tretton's closing remarks during Sony's keynote of E3 2013.
The Microsoft conference was decent. Didn't really floor me, though. The XBONE S looks pretty sexy, as far as I'm concerned, and the custom controller thing is pretty dope (it'll probably be hella expensive tho). As for games, I can't wait to play Sea of Thieves and We Happy Few, as well as Scalebound (I've been aching for it since it was announced). Other than that, there wasn't much for me. Minecraft updates (I love Minecraft, but c'mon, guys), Gers of War 4 (again, love the game, but JD
EA
On the EA side of things, Star Wars Battlefront II and Need For Speed Payback both have my attention. But in both cases, my wallet is waiting for reviews.
Microsoft
There, I said it.
The only thing I got excited about that I didn't already know about was Resident Evil 7 (which doesn't take a page from Outlast, but half the damn book), and maybe the Crash Bandicoot remasters.
I was already excited for Titanfall 2. Already anticipating Horizon Zero Dawn. The Xbox One S was a given, and Project Scorpio is either gonna be underwhelming, or a niche and ahead of its time.
Just finished Bethesda's conference. Gotta say, I'm extremely underwhelmed. Elder Scrolls: The Gathering wasn't doing it for me, I don't really give a damn about Fallout, and Dishonored is painfully boring to me. Skyrim Remastered caught my attention, though. The addition of mods on console is a very cool thing, indeed. Prey was really cool, too. As soon as I saw it, I thought of Dead Space, which is a very good thing.
Will blog more tomorrow, after seeing Microsoft.
Now that E3 has come and gone, what games caught your eye? Here's a list of games that caught mine:
We're just over three weeks out from the biggest event in the gaming industry, and as we get closer, I've been thinking about what to expect from this year's show.
Sony
Sony has come out and said that they are focusing four titles; Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man, and The Last of Us Part II.
I've heard of two of those, and care about one. The Last of Us is still one of the best games I've played in the past decade.
MLP:FiM Season 8, Episode 3 review
What I liked:
Let E3 begin, folks.
The only thing to catch my eye so far is the Doom 4 gameplay, and I'm still forming my opinion on it.
But needless to say, any blog entries I do this week will undoubtedly be gaming related.
Well, it was Microsoft's and Bethesda's turns yesterday, and my reactions are:
To my surprise, Microsoft opened with Halo. No, sorry, let me rephrase that. They opened with a tech demo of a game engine with which the next Halo game will be built.
Backwards compatibility with the Xbox 360 announced. Digital games will automatically begin downloading into your library. If you didn't have a bigger hard drive yet, well, they're basically saying buy one. (I've got 16GB left on my HDD).
Post apocalyptic setting of Horizon: Zero Dawn and the world premiere of Hitman both look enticing.
No Man's Sky gameplay is shown, no release date yet.
Destiny: The Taken King revealed, and the announcer actually griped about not getting the gun he wanted in Destiny's grind. Like it was something to look forward to. Are you fucking kidding me? People cheer for that?
Assassin's Creed Syndicate trailer. I got halfway through AC2 and haven't touched the franchise since.
GUESS WHO'S BACK MOTHERFUCKERS?
Cloud? Who? Oh.... fucking hell Square Enix you stole my thunder!
Honestly I couldn't care about a FF VII remake. I never really played the original to begin with. Turn based RPGs just do not do it for me you know what I'm sayin'? Now Mankind Divided, that I can get behind . Jenson I have missed you. Well I say missed when I really only beat Human Revolution like a month or two ago, I'unno.
For my long time followers you guys would knows how much i love skyrim. So in the past week there have been kind of two stories that kind of centers around the Elder Scrolls games a and i just decide to put these two together. First offI have kind of mix feelings about there (might be) a remaster of Skyrim :/ I can see this being a good thing for people who own a PS4 or Xbox1 b/c with FO4 mods for both Ps4 and Xbox1 there is a chance that this will the same for Skyrim. But this willt be kind of
I understand this game was announced months ago, but they brought it up again at the Nintendo Treehouse event and... Oh... Yeah, I felt a little sick to my stomach. I just HAD to show this to you guys.
Hey folks!
Just wanted to give you a heads up that next week I won't have any new FIMFiction stories available - it's E3 Week so my posting schedule is going to be entirely video game related. You can keep tabs on my stuff on my tumblr or my AO3 page, if you're interested. I've got PLENTY of smut coming, and if you like my futa work you won't be disappointed.
What are you guys excited for the most?
I'm excited for Kingdom Hearts III and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. What about you guys?
Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!
I'm so excited! I know it's past its "Now in Development" stage. And it's still in there somewhere. But my god! This was so sick! (Sora too OP)!
