I've been under observation for almost three days after checking myself into the ER here locally, and now I am finally back home again.

What If... is a year old! And to think that it sat for half a year unupdated after I forgot about it.

One of the reasons why I wrote that crazy chapter that came out today was to celebrate it!

Currently, "What If..." is my oldest continually updating story, and the fourth story I ever published. Coincidentally, whoever it was that mashed that dislike button also sent the fic to fourth place in my most popular stories.

Why did they do it?

This is another of those obscure FIMFIC members that I remember conversing with a great deal on my old account.

They were hilarious to chat with and had this fascinating writing style - including a habit of engineering completely new words!

I often wonder if they're still around.

I currently lack faith in the quality of Aim for the Stars, and I'm continuing to bleed followers while it stays published. I'm taking it down to avoid inflicting it on anypony else.

Again, it isn't the rating that's the problem (see Recycled for a story with a bad rating that I remain proud of). The problem is the story itself, and my inability to properly edit it in my current frame of mind.

Okay, so apparently the ECT doctor is still conferring with the doctor who installed my neurostim implant so it will be safe to proceed. That means no zap today.

In all likelihood the zap will be Wednesday morning. I'll post about it after it happens.

EDIT: Zomg they're still not sure about doing it with the implant in place and now they have to talk to the manufacturer! Earliest will be Friday and even then I don't know.
