Hey, fellas! It's been a while since I've posted anything, but here we have a few 'announcements' if you would call them:
A Rift Between Worlds has started up once more, ready to start the second act! I'm hoping it'll at least be as good as it's first act, but who knows. Maybe I do, but not just yet. 
I have to thank AlmightyAeneas very much for commissioning this piece of art by Pockichi depicting a scene from SAPR, specifically the scene in the Forever Fall where Sunset offers to take Cinder away and she gently declines, check it out it's brilliant.

Been reading through The Aeronaut's Windlass, and so far quite enjoyed it. Not done yet, but considering I'm at the 600+ pages mark with only a dozen chapters or so to go, the book would darn near need to pull a Thomas Covenant to reverse my positive opinion at this stage.
The second part of the SAPR Rewrite is now complete, with the Mistral Vacation arc having been rewritten.
With several weeks having passed since the battle at the docks, Ruby joins Sunset, Jaune and Pyrrha on vacation to the historic city of Mistral, where the group makes a mixed impression on Pyrrha's mother, the formidable Lady Nikos.
Well, I haven't posted something in, well... A while, so I thought, why not? So here we go!
A Rift Between Worlds is still going to be on break, and as some of you might've figured out, it's still going to be a while, since I'm letting things catch up a bit.

Once again, we find ourselves on the eve of an election, and once again I decided to surpress the urge to do something political. You know, like Sunset Shimmer declares herself God-Empress of the United States.
For someone who’s had a lifelong interest in trains, I sure haven’t posted all that many stories about ponies and trains, have I?
Really no excuse for it, but better late than never.
Jinglemas is upon us!
For those of you who don't know, everyone's assigned an author to write a story for. In case you're overwhelmed by all the Jinglemas fics (89 so far!) I'll post the one I was gifted here, and you can just click on it:
I’m re writing it. Yup. Only two chapters in and it’s getting a re write. I don’t think I’m doing this story a justice with how it’s going so far.
So I’m gonna re write it. And it’s gonna be a lot better I promise. And with this, the rest of the chapters will be following right behind the re-writes.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m what’s called a discovery writer (or a pantster); as such a lot of my writing at least starts off with characters and/or a situation and I just start writing to see what happens.
If I tell you the author I was assigned for Jinglemas is the only fimfiction author I have a T-shirt bearing the name of, then that rather gives his identity away, doesn't it?
It's rather nice to be assigned an author who you've read several stories by. It increases the pressure, I suppose, but it also gives you a clearer idea of what to aim for.
