Oooooh boy, from the thumbnail I can tell which episode this is. One of those early releases that had half of the Internet put into a state, as it seems to be the much awaited Royal Sisters Shenanigans episode all been desiring these past years.
I managed to keep myself in the dark about this one beyond glimpses of gifs showing the sisters being all cute together. So time to get the context.
We have three new synopses, for the last three episodes of the first half of Season 9! And I'm in a completely hyped frenzy about all three of them! They hint at things I have long hoped to see, things that imply a looming tragedy and at things that will prepare the future. I put my thoughts about them under the automated page break to avoid spoilers.
Pinkie: Wait… so you're telling me there were other adventures we got up to in between Twilight getting her castle and Starlight joining our harem posse?!? And our audience never got to see them?!? Stop the presses! This calls for an emergency cupcake! And perhaps an emergency party. Okay, definitely an emergency party.
So, the hints for my observation that the attack by King Sombra was just a giant ruse by Celestia and Luna to test Twilight and her friends before they retire that I expected to see in this episode weren't there. But nothing that contradicted my observation either, so I'm still on point with it.
