... after putting 100,000 words in on my other works. The Lawyer and the Unicorn has turned into a decent hit given its subject matter, and I just launched a new story yesterday called Before the Storm: The Rise of Firefly.
And that means it's time for an old promise to be kept. I don't recall when I made it, but it was suggested by a commenter or two a year or two ago that the story be turned into an actual book. I said I would if and when it hit 300 likes, and here we are!
And they demand I write more Firefly!

Well, folks... some time ago I mentioned that there was a project to produce a voice-acted version of the first few chapters of Rise of Firefly. The project is nearing completion, and the first teaser trailer has just been released:

This is a one-shot staring Raindrops and Carrot Top. I've been wanting to do a story staring Raindrops for a very long time. She's one of my most favorite members of the Luna 6. Before I talk about the edits, I have a couple of facts for you. This story peaked at number 1 featured story for a short period of time between 1 and 2 PM and 3 PM-4 PM US Central Time on 2/19/21. The second is that this story has accrued more upvotes than any other story I have posted since 15th September 2015. How long ago was that? Let me give you a list to help me explain:

But I’ll get to that in a second. First, I’d like to once again warmly welcome new readers to the story, and thank everyone who gave feedback. There were plenty of posts along with a lot of discussion and even some outright debate in the comment section. All I ask with regards to the latter is to please keep it civil.
I'm 5,000 words into the new chapter, and it'll probably be at least 15,000 before all is said and done for the penultimate action at Epsilon. I'll have to consider breaking it up into multiple chapters if gets much bigger than that.
A whole week of not writing. I daresay it was necessary.
