Just a quick reminder, I no longer can watch pony on TV, so instead of my usual "re-reaction to previous episodes" intro to these posts, I am posting in the middle of the week. Look for blogs titled "Pipe Land" to see what I think of episodes on a second watch-through! (Spoilers: that one, at least, is more positive than my original first take on either!)
WARNING!!! The following contains SPOILERS for the latest MLP episode “A Flurry of Emotions”.
When I first heard about this episode I was very skeptical. Could Flurry Heart truly be in a good episode? Or at least an okay one?
I assumed the worst for this episode. Once I watched it I realized that I probably shouldn't take an episode for granted based on its premise.
In other words, this episode was... actually good.
Oh boy it's time for more Flurry Heart!

The moral of this latest episode, "A Flurry of Emotions," is a simple one, but it's a lesson for the ages: always listen to Spike.
I, like a lot of people, really hated Spike when the show first started. He was annoying, and weak – a carryover from the old "tag along wimpy kid" trope that defined the character back in prehistoric Equestria, G1.
So did anyone else find this episode’s moral slightly off-putting?

Hey Everypony! A new season of MLP started back in April, and I’m finally getting around to talking about it now. 
Truth is, it’s been a little harder for me to keep up this Season. Really, these first three episodes are all I’ve seen so far.

So, just watching the latest episode and… so sue me, I’m getting a little more respect for Flurry Heart. What I’m liking is all the incidental lessons she’s teaching the audience about reality and literature, even as we’re all reluctant to learn them.

Sorry if I haven't updated anything for a while. I've been helping with my friends, Shrunken Little Bro and Autismo555, with our newest Fic: Uncle Spike and Niece Flurry. Simply, it's about 12 years since the crystalling, and a long time since Flurry's been with her Aunt Twilight and Uncle Spike. She has to spend a few days with with Spike... who's like the result of Godzilla and Eren Jagger.

Twilight has to cheer up some sick kids AND babysit Flurry Heart! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?! Everything.
Just in time for the Amonkhet prerelease, we have a different sort of God-Pharaoh. Not as many horns and slightly smaller wings, but she inspires just as much fear and reverence in her subjects. Let's see what trials Twilight goes through in order to survive this hour of devastation.
After re-watching Flurry of Emotions, I had an idea for a story. The only problem is that I don't think that I have the right sense of humor to execute it properly. As such, I'm posting it here in the hopes that someone who's better at comedy will give it a try.

B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
So I've finally gotten off my rear and started properly catching up with the show. Let's see what we've got from the third and fourth episodes of Season 7!
Just a little episode of fluff, some Twilight in the spotlight, and character interaction. With no delay~
