Rather appropriate to have a diarch-focused episode so close to a solstice. Let’s see what night and day get up to while Twilight’s trying to fill all eight hipposandals at once
It currently stands at 8500 words and will likely be over 10k when all is said and done. For that reason, I’m considering splitting it into two parts to give the climactic third section its own chapter and focus, same as I did for the Blossomforth/Cloud Kicker scene. We’ll see what my prereaders say on that score. If so, I’d simply release the two halves a couple days apart, and don’t worry; the second section has some sexytimes of its own!
This week, I had a choice between a group of EqG shorts with Halloween content or a pair of comics with Halloween content. I went with the latter, since the spookery would make up a larger percentage of the total reviewed material, especially when it turned out there was enough to work with in just that issue! Let’s begin.
Trying to get my head back in the game after the series finale, writing has begun on the new Nightmare Night chapter, though Leo Archon and I will have our work cut out getting it done in time for Halloween, with the former working on at least one section. Unfortunately, we won't quite reach the story climax like I originally planned, as a little more scene-setting is necessary to get all the pieces
It's been a long and patient climb. But for reaching that milestone, a slight change in plans and yet another question to readers:
The moon presence has dawned once again
And the beastly scourge is coming out of its den
Preying on the quaint gothic town of Y'harnam
Stripping flesh and leaving a bloody mess behind them
Who they gonna call? They get the big boys
The badass hunters with their nice and sharp toys
Garbed in bandages and coats pitch black
They run off into the night to fight back
The monsters that're crawling from under your bed
And fucking with your sanity getting in your head
This week, I catch up with the comics. Well, the IDW comics, anyway. Manga from both sides of the Pacific are in the hopper, but for now, it’s time to close out a storyline and revisit a universe.
Let’s take a moment to consider what we know about the Mane Six’s families and when we learned about them.
Next week, I’ll begin delving into Friendship is Forever, the clip show closing out G4. For now, it’s time for more of the manga.
My local game store’s legal maximum customer occupancy is currently twelve, but I was still able to get in a Core Set 2021 prerelease. (Traitorous Greed into Angelic Ascension is an incredibly rude flavor fail and I love it. Bribe your way into heaven!) On a largely unrelated note, let’s look at the next volume of the MLP manga.
Previous Highlight: The Ponies’ Court

In which Pink Flash’s deck finally works as intended, son_of_heaven176 doesn’t let Firebrand slip past DarkWind for long, and the end of an era is announced.

The original cover of Facade was hand drawn, and- after some time- I managed to update and digitalize the original image. I hope you like it.
Much as I’d like to do Applejack’s clip show in light of her not getting a “Meet X” Pony Life promo, Fluttershy’s next on the docket. Let’s examine Buttershush through the years.
Or in the case of this story, probably Order 69! For reaching this auspicious number, I'd like to offer a quick thank-you for all readers, including new ones that may have come in from my ongoing update of Midnight Rising.
I wanted to write a story with no one holding the Idiot Ball, ever. I hope I was successful. I also like to read other stories with characters who don’t became suddenly moronic just to push the plot somewhere. Unfortunately this leads to my current aversion to the original show, canon characters hold the Idiot Ball too often for me to be comfortable.
Sorry to disappoint anyone expecting a full card blog based on what little we know about G5. Instead, we return to Season 10 with a look at how Li’l Cheese was made.
Well, the groundwork, anyway. The actual construction’s a bit outside of the comic’s age range.
This week, we return to sequential art with the third volume of the MLP OEL manga. Let’s see what wonders await in the 4koma’d land of Equestria.
