Holy crap do I need a new phone. · 12:08am May 13th, 2018

It is not normal to be getting less than 15 FPS on average when playing Angry Birds. Nor is it normal that for the past couple months I've been using aluminum foil as a heatspreader on my phone, and more recently moving on to a spare heatsink I had laying around.

Next time I get a phone, I'm not gonna be buying used, even if it's "factory refurbished".

Tampermonkey? Check.

Those are literally the only two extensions I really ever use.

Bricks are mostly air. Same goes for concrete.

Duct Tape was used to fix some things in space, including a helmet if I remember correctly.

Contrary to popular belief, mentors in coca-cola is NOT a chemical reaction. In reality, the fizz is caused by the carbon dioxide in the soda condensing in tiny pits on the surface of the mento, and hen being rapidly released from the bottle. So its not a chemical reaction, but a physical reaction.

Matter is actually over 99% empty space due to the spacing between the energy levels of atoms.

Want a double whammy of lead poisoning AND radiation sickness? Look no further, 'cause nearly every element has some form or another of a radioactive isotope! And that includes lead. Think about it. Radioactive lead.

AMD was once a second source to Intel, and Intel used to license out their exact designs to other companies.

There used to be a bug in intel processors called the "F00F bug".

There also was an "FDIV bug" in early intel processors during the advent of the i586 lineup.

Android was once it's own company.

The original prototype for the Raspberry Pi computer was closer in power to an Arduino than a mid-range smartphone like it is today.

Getting ready for some laptop upgrading. · 10:58pm Nov 2nd, 2017

So. My old laptop (not my craptop) has been in use for almost seven years now. It was manufactured all the way back in October 2010 according to the sticker on the bottom, and it's certainly showing its age now with the measly single-core Celeron processor. Luckily, literally everything in the thing is upgradeable. I've already replaced the old battery with one that's nearly double the capacity, maxed out the RAM to 4 gigs, and sometime later this week, I'll be replacing the ol' Celeron

Just re-figured out how the AI of Twilight and Pinkie work with a friend. · 1:35am Sep 13th, 2018

After a lengthy 2 hour or so session of Discord conversation, I've come to a conclusion that both explains the functionality of the AI, as well as how Twilight became corrupted, taking over Lisa's body.

It's a loose theory, given how it's back and forth conversation, but it's a usable theory nonetheless. I won't reveal anything directly, so y'all just have to keep reading to know for yourself...

A legit techblog for once??? Wow! · 7:49am May 24th, 2021

I keep having to remind myself that the main goal of one of my summer projects is to make a new LOGIC BOARD for a floppy drive, not make an entire freakin' Floppy Drive controller circuit. The difference is that one controls the drive, and the other... uh, controls the thing that controls the drive. Funky.

I scare myself once a week and look up MFM encoding techniques only to remember that that's not my problemâ„¢ lol.

While there are OpenGL to Direct3D wrappers available floating around the internet, they're all either for x86 processors or are too buggy to get Minecraft to launch. I got as far as the Minecraft Launcher before getting smacked with a faceful of errors. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if something better pops up sometime. In the meantime, at least I know a list of ARM-compiled things for WinRT.
