Another Decade Bites The Dust · 1:24pm Dec 30th, 2019

I waffled on whether or not to post this blog because after I finished it, as I felt like it had served its purpose as the only form of journaling that I’ve enjoyed. Plus, it’s like therapy for me. Then, as I was perusing YouTube, I came across a video.

Let’s Talk About Summer Island · 6:21pm Jun 23rd, 2016

Time for another editorial/review/commentary-thingy! (I really need to come up with a name for these things). As usual, the contents of this will spoil pretty much the entire story, so if you haven’t read it, go away and read it before you go any further.

Don’t make me bring out the pickle barrel.

I’ll do it. I WILL!

Why I write · 6:11am Dec 6th, 2016

I write because it helps me think things through. I can walk around for days or years, accumulating a big tangle of half-formed thoughts, but it's not until I sit down and try to channel them into a story that they start to cohere.

Also cute Derpy and Doctor because reasons

This Thing Is On?! Eep! Now I Have to Say Stuff! · 7:09pm Jul 25th, 2016

Thundermare is Go · 12:22am May 14th, 2019

We Don't Talk About Captain Thunderhoof is complete, and I wanted to share some thoughts about it. If you haven't read it yet—possibly because you like to wait until after stories are finished to read them—go check it out before reading this blog, as it assumes you're already familiar with everything and is riddled with unmarked spoilers.

Friendship is Magic! The Great Pony Deconstruction: Episode 1 · 12:54am Oct 12th, 2020

Grrrrrrrrreetings everypony! My name is Mystic Mind, an ex-youtube pony analyst turned fimfic writer. And you know what? I miss the whole analysis shindig. So, I have set myself a challenge: review and analyse every single episode of my Little Pony: Friendship is magic. Some may be shorter, some may be longer, and not all will fill a video's length (which I won't be doing anyway 'cause I hate video editing). But they will perhaps give some good perspective and some new details that may

Good afternoon folks.

Novel Idea here. I've got something a little different in store for you today. As you all know, last week was our One Year Anniversary Celebration. There are actually a couple things we still have in the works for that but weren't quite ready and still aren't as of yet, but when they are, you'll know. Oh boy, you'll know.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrreetings everypony, and welcome back to Deconstruction is Magic, my Retrospective/Review/Analysis of every episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic ever. Today, we have another fandom touchstone episode, Dragonshy! Without wasting any more time, let's get on with the analysis! I am the Mage of Mind, reminding you, as always, that even a cheeseburger can be deconstructed to its source.

I know, I know, it's a little late for a retrospective blog. Heck, I think it's almost January 2nd just west of the International Date Line. But I wanted to write this both in 2016 and after getting a good night's sleep. Read on for a look back and a look forward, especially if you read the Friendship is Card Games series.

The Quickening: The age of adolescence · 2:58pm Aug 9th, 2017

This topic has been in my mind for the last weeks, to the point that I'm having an existencial crisis and most of the time I look like this:

I've been thinking about if so often, that the conclusions are existentialist-like. Join me in this trip throughout the age of adolescence.

Season 8 Retrospective · 5:05pm Oct 13th, 2018

Warning: Season-wide spoilers abound. Proceed with caution.

Welp, that was fun, huh? I know for most of you, the season ended earlier thanks to the Australian broadcast, but I didn't have the luxury of checking that out. Also, I'd rather do things by the book.

So, seeing as the theme of this season was school, I figured it would be fitting to give it a report card to show how much it managed to achieve. Follow me below the break and see my final grade.

Tantabus, Mk. II: A Retrospective · 4:16pm Jun 8th, 2021

So. The Tantabus series. The stories that really put me on the map. Several people have said that Moondog is their favorite OC in the fandom. As of this writing, two of the four stories are in the top ten rated stories of all time on the entire site, another is in the top twenty, and the last is in the top thirty. The first is inching towards three thousand likes. How the Tantabus Parses Sleep is the longest single thing I’ve written and still ongoing.
