So, the word has come down and it's official: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will be ending after Season 9. We still have a couple of rumored TV specials afterward, but as far as a regular TV show goes, it's all over. The new MLP movie Hasbro announced during Toy Fair will most likely be the start of Gen 5, and who knows what form that will take.1
I spent it with my friend and his grandparents and it was awesome. First we saw the new Madea movie and it was pretty funny. Then we drove all over creation and went to a fuckton of stores. Actually, we only went to two.
Sam's club and Michael's. We had dinner at Cracker Barrel. Since my mom and his grandparents were going to have wine together and he needed to drive home late at night, we decided to go to Starbucks. His Starbucks app said he could get a free

Would you look at that. We’re actually getting some comics in this hiatus. Only one blog’s worth, since there’s an EqG special airing next week, but we still have time to look into Pinkie and Rainbow Dash wreaking havoc in their own particular ways, along with Toni “Pencils” Kuusito’s premiere as an official comic artist.
Since the story will be starting soon, I figured I should show you which characters will be in the focus of this story. If you read "The Legend of Friendship" all the way until Season 4, then you should recognize at least one character here.
This week I received my Friendship Games DVD, which, thanks to the tantalizing post-credits ending of Rainbow Rocks, I watched with considerable anticipation. Of course this film was going to destroy my personal theories about the new Twilight Sparkle.
Sorry for the slight delay; I didn't have the time to prepare this batch ahead of time.
Seeing this episode again brought a lot of interesting information to light. For example, when Applejack was showing her lasso skills, where exactly was that apple tree? Also, Rarity speaks in the third pony immediately before the famous "It. Is. On." I'm not sure if she was subtly mocking Trixie, or if that's just a unicorn thing.
Four ponies share similar backstories, in some sense, a what could have happened had this happened, and different reactions. Many only see them in pairs, such as Twilight and Sunset. Maybe, for some, Starlight. But, Moondancer should also be included in this. Yes, there are times when I feel like an analyst, even though I am a story writer, and perhaps I am partially so, I do enjoy studying these sorts of things.

It was dark in the first Discord episode when Twilight lost her will, but Princess Celestia did something remarkable in response: she sent Twilight's letters back to her.
Thanks to Celestia's voice actress, the same thing happened to me. Literally.

Going to try giving this review-every-episode-of-the-season-right-after-its-come-out thing a go. Also reviewing primarily for fellow fans, rather then theoretically anyone. Well, this IS a Pony website, to be fair.

I just saw Forgotten Friendship. And once again, the plot is the same: an Equestrian Maguffin was banished to the EqG realm; ergo EqG has to deal with the problem Equestria wouldn't/couldn't handle. Before you say, "that's just the Equestrian Girls' plot gimmick," let me tell you that another franchise suffered for repeating this same plot over and over and over.
Another week’s worth of EqG shorts to look into, and this week, it’s all about that music festival we’ll be hearing more about in two weeks (assuming you haven’t already watched that special, because American release times are just a suggestion.) Let’s tune in.
Given the time slot, I suppose this is less Freaky Friday and more Surreal Saturday. Either way, it raises some concerning questions regarding Equestrian wildlife.
