I'm not gonna lie to any of you. This next chapter has been the hardest one for me to put together. The fights have been epic, and some of the dialog has revealed so much that had previously been left unsaid. It's all going to be hard to top without repeating setups or combat styles and similar back and forth.
Hey, so here's what happening. I'm currently in the process of writing two of the bigger -and probably last- battles for this little arc. I've been fantisizing about these specific encounters since the early days of the The Wayfarers, and I just want to get them right.
So, now that Trench is done, prepare for my next story, Equestrian Idiot.

I think I'm over-doing the whole NMM gets salvation shit. I've just been doing it too much, and I don't want all of my stories to follow the same character with the same issues. I've stigmatized mental hospitals and did little research. I apologize.
Now to why I made this post in the first place. Many people on here think that the suicide/dark/sad genre is getting annoying.
I have a few words on that.

Why I'm asking this is because, as you may know, I'm writing a book in my spare time, and well, I suddenly realised I could probably do a thing a bit like Mass Effect 2 - DLC: The Equestrian Equation, of course, I would only do it if it fit in with the chapter. So, choices or no?

I just want to say that I'm sorry for making it look like I've gone on hiatus - as a matter of fact, I've actually had a very long period of time where I had to sit down and focus on my university work because I needed to get some assignments done for the middle of January and I've also been working on TWO original novels as well! 😄
I haven't forgot! I have a functionally finished chapter with most of the necessary polish. Just getting some extra special help to make this as good as it can be! You're in for a real treat!
In the meantime, I'm working on the Final Chapter and Epilogue now! You can expect a lot of One For The Road this month I think; when it rains, it pours!

imho, this story does some lovely things with music, friendship, realizations, and personal growth.

I wrote a new story.
It isn't much, and it's more just an expansion of a What If chapter that I've added some more lore and detail to.
But it's at least a semblance of what I had planned for Christmas.

I'll make a blog about the shit I've been up to some other time. Right now, I'm kind of having a huge emergency -- except it's not impacting me. It's impacting my boyfriend. He's disabled and trying to get a car... the problem is his family is filled with other people who are disabled and they have no working vehicle. They live in poverty. I'm broke from getting my friends -- as well as him and his family -- many Christmas gifts. I have nothing near the money to help them get an emergency car.
I see a whole lot of new and aspiring fanfiction writers all the time, and they almost always start not knowing the basic rules of storytelling or how hard it is in reality to create a believable story. Well, as believable as you can get in fiction. From all I've seen in my time here, I can fairly say that the limits for that go way beyond the sane prospects of logic.

The feedback given was phenomenal and I have been taking notes, brainstorming and most importantly writing down what insights they've given me. I must give thanks to the couple people who were kind enough to comment or dm me their insights.
I wanted to let you guys know that my reading of Swimming Lessons, chapter 2 and the epilogue, will be made public on my YouTube channel this week. To be specific, the video for chapter 2 will go public on Thursday, 08/17/23, at 9 AM Eastern, while the epilogue will go up on Saturday, 08/19/23, at 9 AM Eastern.
