Heyo. Just wanted to give a little update, seeing as I've been (apparently) quiet, lately.

KoLB is still going, I've just been in a tough place trying to get my work life balanced in time for school in April, and have been working on a commission story - my very first one - for a friend. With any luck KoLB will move forward in the next couple months.

With Chapter 26 Up last week, there was a brief appearance of the first Pegasus in Vault Dweller,
Chapter 27 fleshed out a rescue mission by Meathead with Nate's help to go rescue the stranded pony from Super Mutants at the Atomatoys Headquarters.
The reveal takes a while to get to, but this is how I imagined it from the very start.

So. Changelings are weird, right? They're kinda like bugs, but also like ponies, but they also eat love, and basically we don't actually know that much about them. Lots of different authors have interpreted them differently; mindless drones, evil minions, starving desperadoes, and more. The "changedlings" have only exacerbated the problem. So here is my take on the changelings, based on a very loose grasp of entomology and various sci-fi tropes.

A really depressing, but much more lighthearted than the original, sequel called “Debris”.

It’s set right after To Change a Changeling, and hoo-boy, does it reference TIWIL a lot.

Pharynx looked at his soldier, who was holding a crossbow. “Okay, now aim down the sights.”

The changeling did so, aiming at a training dummy.

“Good. Now, turn the safety off.”

The changeling did that.

“Good, good. Now... shoot the dummy.”

The changeling fired, but missed.

Pharynx sighed. “The dummy.”

He fired again, but missed. He began unloading the entire magazine, missing each shot until...
