This review is dedicated in loving memory of Debbie Reynolds, mother of Carrie Fisher. Like her daughter, she has become one with the force. Hopefully we're done with all these talented souls being taken in this year of death, and we can now focus on looking forward to 2017. Now, let's get to the review itself.
With Starlight Glimmer joining the main cast of characters, the time has come to once again rank them from least favorite to most favorite. Since Mane Seven already included Spike and the mane six, and Starlight is now part of the group, Mane Eight was necessary.
8. Starlight Glimmer
Well, Season 5 has come and gone, and it looks like we'll have to wait about a year for the next season to air. Time to see what the second half accomplished.

Well, for the first time in FiM history, we've got a mid season hiatus. We had to wait almost a year to get Season 5, but it seems to have been worth the wait.

I've already reviewed the main series issue for Feburary of 2016 (Main Series #39), so it's time to talk about Friends Forever #25. With Friends Forever #24 proving to be a disaster, was this issue able to pick things back up for the series, or send it spiraling downhill again? Well, let's find out.

Okay, some of you may have noticed that you can now disable comments and upvotes/downvotes on your stories. Now, I have... decidedly mixed feelings on this.
As the page turned from 2018 to 2019, the world prepared for what has so far been another pretty bad year (minus one aspect that has defined every year for the past few, several high profile celebrity deaths. So far the biggest has been Luke Perry). Hasbro tried to keep interest in the show alive with so called "Encore Shorts" that were an attempt to mimic the Equestria Girls ones for FiM, only to prove even more why that concept doesn't work. With Season 7 having concluded and a Season 8 confirmed, the IDW comics once again had to tide fans over during a hiatus as rumors and speculation abounded. The main series opted for an indirect followup to "Marks and Recreation", meanwhile the Legends of Magic series was continuing its overarching story that it had started in just the previous issue.
