This was a pretty fun episode, if not extremely memorable or masterfully executed. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have anything to say about it, even if it’s less than usual.
Scale of Ratings
1 - Disgustingly Bad (the worst of the worst; has absolutely nothing to make up for the huge flaws that riddle the section/episode)
TWILIGHT: "Yes! Finally, I'm a Princess!"
SPIKE: "...Where's the punchline, Twilight? We're all waiting."
TWILIGHT: "Punchline? I'm a Princess now, Spike. I can't go around tossing out quips and jokey asides."
SPIKE: "But... just last episode you were all snarky and remarking for characters of the day to not come back! What happened?!?"
This episode gives me a huge "Apple Family Reunion" vibe, already at the beginning when we see how early Applejack woke them all up to get ready for the confluence, which makes me really nostalgic and choked up as it reminds me on Season 3, when My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was still young.

It's the tenth of the month and you know what that means. That's right! It's time for another in-depth analysis of clop!
Hey everyone, I finally finished my next set of headcanons!
This one has to do with the human counterparts of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy.
(Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi will each get their own entry for headcanon material. Just so you guys know.)
But anyway, here are my own personal thoughts on the backgrounds and quirks of...
The Humane Five:
Pinkie Pie:
Well that depends... we all have our preferences, and that's all it boils down to.
Just because you may say a story is good or bad doesn't mean it IS to all...
the only real rules of stories, music... are all based on what people PREFER/LIKE, and those rules may change all the time (but to most people they'd rather cause flame wars and cyber harassment)
For what it’s worth, the Mane Six are always ‘beautiful’ in this animation.
Hey, paesanos! It's the 'Super Party Pony Super Show'! Cue the music!
YAKS SMASH SPOILERS!
Ahem. After 'Princess Spike,' it's great to see an episode where the humour works so well. Where we got some very nice in-character writing and excellent timing. My only bones to pick are that once again Spike gets slammed by a door, and the Yaks blew up at everything possible. Here I think the writers could have either used the Rule of Three or had the Yaks show silent disapproval until something bigger makes them SMASH.
REMANE 5: "Surprise!"
RARITY: "Wha...! But, I... what are you all doing here? You're cutting into valuable screentime for me to chew the scenery! I was saving all that for the episode's last third!"
Guess what you guys?:D Two for the price of one type reviews are back!:D Since I'm so behind on these reviews, I figured, I can get away with this:D Yay for getting away with stuff!:D
SWEETIE BELLE: "Wow. You just had to pause on that frame, didn't you? Look at my face! I look like you're creeping me out!"
RARITY: "You? What about me?!? Need I remind you that I ran an obstacle course covered in mud for you, my little sister?"
SPIKE: "Oh yeah, I remember this! The time when I went from just another sidekick to a hero in my own right. And it showed all those naysayers you weren't a token princess either, Cadence!"
CADENCE: "Wait - who was saying I was just a token Princess?"
SPIKE: "Uh... the Shadowbolts?"
I bet everyone of you has heard about the bad news we got in December. I am very late with this, but I want to share my thoughts about it here, talk about how the future will look for us in sight of this and what are the best things for us to do in this situation.
It is a long read, but an important one, so I ask you to please stick around and read until the end.
Ah, it's that time of year again. It's Halloween night, Linus is waiting in the local pumpkin patch to catch the Great Pumpkin, which supposedly flies through the air delivering presents to children the world over that time of year. Only it turns out to be Snoopy doing it by pure accident...
Trying my hand at blog-style review posts. Wish me luck!
Given the audience here, this is written assuming the reader has already seen the episode. Which just means it isn't spoiler free (though getting spoiled on this won't affect your enjoyment either way, I'd wager) and skips past a lot of the boring plot stuff.
