It's not as bad as it sounds, honestly. I mean, I landed hard on my back so now it hurts to breathe, I'm bound to have a sizeable bruise in that "can't-quite-reach" spot, and I apparently suffered two small spots of rugburn along my arm that are now starting to itch and swell. I'm liable to be hopped up on painkillers for most of the day.

I've experienced spanking as a child when I made mistakes. When my sister was in high school, she experienced being hit with a telephone by my mom for lying about who she was talking to. She told her she was talking to a female friend when in fact she was talking to her boyfriend.

Yeah, sorry about that folks. I've been dealing with my condition this week, and it's hard to write well when dealing with gut pain. Granted, work has been done, but not enough, and some of it had to be redone (and still might get scrapped). It's a very important chapter, so I want to make sure I get it right, and, like I always say, I'd rather release something late if it means getting it right.
There's good news and bad news. Mostly bad news, I'm afraid.
The doctor who had been treating me left his position at the hospital this week, and the doctor who is now in charge of my care is not interested in keeping me sane with ketamine. She's only interested in the research protocol, not in providing the only treatment which has worked for me, so I'm being kicked out of the program entirely.
UPDATE: I'd really like recommendations of stories to read that could improve my writing!
Last night, I dreamt I was taking a standardized test in an amphitheater with a few hundred other students. Except I teach college, and it was an eleventh-grade exam (all the other students were teens).
I haven't been able to write (or do) hardly anything in months, even though I'm off during the Summer and stuck inside. At first I thought it was mental illness, but much of it's still physical, and I don't quite know where the separation twixt the two lies.
Also, the brony world appears to have descended into chaos.
This week, we continue the exploration of this brave new world that has such ponies in it. Though some days it seems like insanity is the one true constant of the equine condition…

That omnipresent reminder that you either can't type, or have been confused by English's many rules and exceptions that make you wonder which homophone to use (splitting the difference, you settle for "thei're"), whether it's spelled "receive" or "recieve", and if you should capitalize every word to make your life simpler.

I apologize if this blog post seems a bit too rough or defensive, but simply put, I haven't had the drive, the 'oomph' to write as of late. And it's not just for this fandom, but for ALL my other fandoms. I mean, I go to Google Docs wanting to write and as soon as I open up any given document, my mind just blanks and I can't write a damn thing.
I'm delayed in a number of projects at the moment.
Right now I'm grading midterms and dealing with a resurgence in pain after some dental work a few weeks back. I also just had minor surgery but that no longer hurts at least.
Currently I have a DROD hold I'm planning to release in a week or two, but as far as pony projects go there are delays.

I would like to say, that life has eased up and given me some more free time now that the events mentioned in my previous blog post have come to an end. However, I do have some more news as life decided "that's not enough, hit him more!" As of Friday the 13, the day of bad luck, which is ODDLY FITTING in a sadistic way, My Wisdom Teeth have struck both my mouth and soon my wallet as well.
I'm due for surgery, tomorrow at 12 o'clock my time.
