When a character attempts to break the fourth wall, it may disturb a suspension of disbelief. A reader may not want to participate in the story as a character. Or the world in the reader’s mind is too different from the world in the writer's mind.

It may be especially disturbing if the author switches to the second person narration.

My most popular story on fanfiction.net (Observational Skills) would be the 4th-most viewed story ever here. Granted, different site and different fandom (Naruto vs. MLP), but I suppose lack of potential readership is another reason I've never posted a fic here - or even ever finished writing a pony story.

Uhm, how and why did my last fic get over a thousand views? I mean, I'm super grateful (considering this is a one-shot and only the 7th I've made), I'm just curious WHY. I mean, what is so attractive about it? Besides being featured, I mean. It's not like it's well written in particular. I can and have done better. At least in my opinion.

The Mixed view universe before Anarchy's birth, this world was once very similar to the canon before everyone and everything changed forever. The idea comes from a new story I just released called Anarchy's Past.

After having such a hard time adjusting and getting back into writing after Krafty left, I had no faith in what I was writing, but seeing my latest fic go from 30 to 200 in three days made me really happy and also made me want to write more fics.
