It's been one hell of a ride for 2021. Started the year off by pulling my shoulder and having to do Physio, then deal with another kidney stone at the same time I watched my father battle cancer and lose. Finished out the year with damaging my leg leaving me to walk with a cane for a while.

Well, now that this journal is out, I figure I should speak my own truth.
I’m not really sure how to begin this one out, but I guess the first thing to do is to rip off the band aid.

Allegiance delves into the murky past of my Reflection-Verse, showing one of the first major long-term deviations to FIM canon. As I've highlighted before, the intent has been to roughly follow the events of the show. Sometimes things happen differently in the episodes, but the ends are more or less the same. Well, the collab I cobbled together is finally fully posted. I want to say thank you to everyone who participated; thanks not just for participating, for putting up with my blunt and occasionally obtuse criticisms, but also for sticking it through and finishing it. I never expected the response I got, and I think that, together, we made a story greater than a single author could have.
It's been an interesting time as of late.
It is surprising how much distance I create to others by focusing. Were I to absolve myself of my routine shackles, I would flow from person to person, a stream of interaction to fill the seconds of the day. Though without those shackles, I would be unable to get anything done. My focus breeds results, but severs ties.
