Furry Foray Contest, a retrospective.
For anyone who was paying attention to this account or FimFiction in general, there were suddenly a bunch of crossover fics with very specific furry characters . . . somebody ran a contest. Probably can't link to it, 'cause the rules, but it was called the Furry Foray Festival.
Pretty nuts, right? And they don't even suck!
1. I have written most of my stories on my phone. I rarely use the computer to do this, only the final spellchecking happens with a computer.
2. The name Shimmering Thunder came way before the story, The Power Within. I just couldn't come up with any other name, so I used this one.
3. Even though I wrote a coltcuddler story, I'm not a coltcuddler myself.
4. After two years plus, I'm still in the closet with these ponies. Nobody in real life knows about it.
Possibly the greatest science fiction film ever made, Stanley Kubrick's 1968 opus manages to take the audience on an intense, enrapturing 160 journey from The Dawn of Man to Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite, standing apart from every other entry in the genre to not only be a genre milestone, but a milestone in film itself.
This story sure took a while, didn’t it?
Well, it’s uploaded now, and despite its disappointing reaction, I’m still going to talk about it.
Sometimes, you’ll write a story that hits the highest marks on your own personal grading scale, and that’ll become the standard to judge future stories by until you write another story that exceeds is. For me, Raining. is that story. I feel like it took everything I had formed my writing identity around, and just did it the best.
So I know I said that I wasn't going to do these anymore. However, I feel that to not make any mention of one of my very favorite cartoonists would just be morally wrong, given how much joy she's given me over the years.
Her cartoons: Ozy and Millie, I Drew This, Raine Dog, and her current project, Phoebe and Her Unicorn. The last one has the most unicorns, so feel free to skip ahead to that section if you like.
If I tell you the author I was assigned for Jinglemas is the only fimfiction author I have a T-shirt bearing the name of, then that rather gives his identity away, doesn't it?
It's rather nice to be assigned an author who you've read several stories by. It increases the pressure, I suppose, but it also gives you a clearer idea of what to aim for.
Oh my gosh I just found out something and I’m crying. There are a species of dolphins (the smallest dolphins in the world) and there are less than 50 of them left. They are drowning in fishing nets and the numbers continue to decline. They are so cute so I don’t understand why it’s still happening but they are well past endangered and going on to be extinct.

Just finished this one and was proud of how it turned out so I felt like posting it here.
Just a quick bump: the penultimate chapter of "Reaping Rainbow" will be coming out just a little bit later today. Likewise, I am trying very hard to finish the finale today so that I can hopefully get the last one out before the Series Finale next weekend. Once again, I apologize for how badly I've let the updates slip away from me, and I won't make excuses for making all you wonderful people wait. I'll just hope that the final product makes it all worth your patience. 
Heya, Happy Mothers day and all that, I started the day in a storm shelter during a tornado warning. Whoo. 
In all seriousness, hope things are going well for y'all. I'm just letting ya know I'm still around and still writing Episode 02 of Queen of Crimson Crows. Currently halfway finished with it and the latter half should go fairly smooth. Expect it later in the month, hopefully sooner than later.
At 8PM GMT time zone, a premiere of a re-recording of Bearing the Weight will air on my channel, and I'd love it if some of you can make it over there if you're in the UK time zone. Of course, you can still view it after the scheduled premiere, but I'll be grateful for the support otherwise!
Hello, there everyone; it's me, Fireflower with even another new announcement, this time at night for those who didn't read the title: for those who had been staying with me, I'd recently not only finished Alumni After All, there have also been seven new stories I've managed to publish earlier today, or rather late last night. Now that I've been able to pace myself and get focused in onto making some new stories within this year, this post should serve as an update to tell you what I'm behind
I’ll admit it, I have a soft spot for music criticism videos. I watch all the Diamond Axe Studios and Todd in the Shadows videos, and I’m a fan of Mic the Snare. It could just be my special interest and lack of knowledge of other media critics, but music critics seem less driven by things like rant and skit comedy (unless you’re A Dose of Buckley; I never watch his music criticisms anyways), and more set on explaining what’s good about a song and what’s bad about it.
