Got frustrated over not posting something in a while and having the new version of Spot of Tea just sitting waiting. Felt like the little red dot declaring it unpublished was mocking my lack of progress on the next chapter of John, so I gave in. The latest version of Spot of Tea is now posted as the Prologue of A Deer Named John, and the old versions have been removed from the site.

In all honesty, I just hope it reads cleaner than previous versions.

Still not dead, folks! Still going through life, still writing...actually crossed the 8K word mark for this chapter the other night. Hoping to have this one done and dusted before the end of the month. Gee, wouldn't it be nice if I could manage to get back up to a monthly release schedule again?

And I'm still not finished. I did the estimation, and the story could very well break 85-90 chapters baseline (5k words a chapter average) with 10 epilogue chapters. Tons of plot bouncing, talking, small rewrites, a few dumped chapters (a *few, like... 5) and work keeping me slow, otherwise I'd be done by now. Out of these 40 days (I think it's closer to 38 days), I've spent maybe 2-5 days with less than one chapter's progress each.

So I'm currently working on the next fic in the series, Treasures of the Deep Blue, as well as finally getting off my butt to work on chapter 3 of the CMC story, so be on the look out for either of those whenever I finish one or the other. Just a little heads up so ya'll know I'm working.

People are quick to judge other cultures, but do they ever look in the mirror? Here are some of the problems I see with the culture you live in:
- segregating genders by establishing restrooms for each sex
- allowing inexperienced people to handle children (first-time parents)
- forcing people to wear clothes
- forbidding children from working for money to achieve financial independence
- slaves (interns) are worth nothing and the employers don't even have to provide food to them

Wanted to post this after checking in here and noticing the above series has found its way into a few collections that have been labelled as variations on 'dead series'. I accept full blame for folk thinking that, but if it matters at this point, I'm not giving up on my Spike x Sweetie Bot scenario just yet.
