I LIVE AGAIN
Instead of working on a story, I instead spent all evening reviewing stories. I’m not sure if that counts as procrastination or sideways efficiency. But hey, I managed both a set of Read It Now Reviews and a set of Read It Later reviews this week!
I’m not good at romance. My idea of a contraceptive is a fake telephone number. I date girls with glasses to look at my reflection while we fuck. I blow raspberries while eating girls out.
Previously, on The Hat Man's blog posts...
Hats: You guys want an Applejack chapter or a shipping chapter?
Readers: Applejack!
Hats: Okay.
A few Readers: And later on, more shipping! Twilight x Gadget is yummy!
Hats: Twilight x what now?
A few Readers: Doooo eeeeeet!
Hats: No! Look, you want it so bad, if one of you write a Twilight x Gadget fic, then I'll put it on my blog post, okay?
Howdy howdy. I've been wanting to review/recommend some stories from the right back at it again shipping contest, because as usual I only ever exit my tiny corner of TWG to go, sneak out and enter in competitions before slinking back into my lair, and as a few of you probably know, I like reviewing and recommending (if I can) stories that turn up there, because contests are fun and I think that
here's a lil preview of an animation ive been working on (that i am not allowed to touch again until the fic is done )
I forgot to post this yesterday, but here it is – another set of recent stories I reviewed on Thursday.
Today’s stories:
You Have Made Your Bed by Syntavant
Induction of the Innocent by FanOfMostEverything
Scientific Progress Goes Crash by Drax
Scar Tissue by RadiantBeam
Fact or Fanfiction by Tumbleweed
Well, it’s that time again. The time where I start catching up on reader supported blog posts… from last month. Whoops.
Courtesy of A.P.O.N.I. Let’s check in with our favorite animated stuffed bear who doesn’t get his own movie about growing old and trying to recapture the wonderment of a forgotten childhood.
To the surprise of all, the doors of the Badfic Slaughterhouse have opened once again. Five stories await judgment. Which ones are worth reading, and which ones will be thrown into a grinder for your twisted amusement? Click the button below to find out.
In this edition:
—Rarity subverts expectations by not subverting expectations.
—Twilight adopts Sweetie Belle.
—A pegasus bursts into flames.
—A rabbit just bursts.
—I make up a new question for Cards Against Humanity.
Welcome back!
Today we’re going to lead off with an easy one, but don’t be caught off-guard. What follows was a descent into madness. Have your favorite beverage on standby.
My friend has an apartment
A trade
A conventional relationship
With a good girl to settle down with
She's lovely, really
And when we talk he gives me that smile
That smile
That laugh
That says he's grown up
And he's waiting for me to catch up
And it hurts because I have nothing he has.
But then I think
He's the same as he was in highschool
He'd finished growing then
So he thought
His highschool sweetheart
His highschool job
His highschool ambitions
Yesterday, I said I’d maybe take a break from recent story reviews to work on my own stuff.
Then my feed exploded with stories.
You monsters. It’s almost like you want me to keep reading!
But for all your work, I am grateful – today was a very good day for pony fiction.
Today’s stories:
Comma Comma by Soufriere
Princess Cadance’s Official Princess Harem of Imported Humans from Another World by Skywriter
The Road Goes On Forever by Augie Dog
most likely i'll be putting it up on offprint.net since I'm already familiar with that site myself (despite it being in a VERY beta-y stage still)
You'll see this. You told me yourself that you're spying on me.
Stop sending me PM's. You blocked me, yet you're pestering me through the PM system so I can't respond to your threats. Abusing the system to jab at me without fear of retaliation. Only one of us is walking that "make enough wrongs" line right now, and I don't think it's the one of us you think it is.
Oh boy!
I wasn’t going to blog about Monday, but then the end of the day was the perfect capstone, so . . .
So, after my recent anti-anti-corporate post, I've done some thinking.
I've been working at a supermarket for just over half-a-year now and I've been working through lockdown. And I've been on this site recently and seen this anti-corporate craze and am not impressed by it.
But I have a theory.
