So just recently today, while I was re-reading Regret, I came across this little gem of a comment by HeroOfTime:
I..... maybe overdid it a little? After the April Foals joke I did yesterday, I feel horrible.
I JUST STAYED UP FOR THE PAST TWO NIGHTS WRITING ON AND OFF FOR A ONESHOT AND I I JUST BROKE 5000 WORDS EVEN THOUGH I HAVE SCHOOL ON TUESDAY. I HAVE NO CONCEPT OF TIME AND I SHOULD REALLY GET TO BED BUT I DESERVE A MEDAL BECAUSE I HAVEN'T FELT THIS ALIVE SINCE THE SOMBRAPIE FEVER OF 2014.
GO ME.
Last time I posted a tease of things to come. Since then I've had a couple unexpected things pop up. Good ones. Including the long-awaited best one:
My mojo's back.
It seems that the hurricane season is well upon us; between Hurricane Harvey two weeks ago, and Hurricane Irma demolishing several islands in the Caribbean, while two more wend their way around the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, there’s quite a bit of atmospheric excitement. Combined with the terrible fires out west and a big old earthquake off of Florida, we’ve really got all four of the elements well and truly covered.
So I know it's been pretty evident that I'm not a particularly quick at updates. It's not because I'm busy or anything, I don't have a job. Art is my only source of income, and though commissions do keep me frequently busy they're not entirely the reason why I haven't been particularly active. It's just been hard. Everything has been.
In other things, this is not going to be a particularly positive blog, but it was a long time coming.
Procrastination, I'm afraid we can't see each other anymore. I know that we have had many good times together, and those are times I will never forget... However, I think we both know that this has been a long time coming. I mean, I would have gotten to it sooner, but let's face it, you've rubbed off on me quite a bit, Pro.
You and I till the end, don't need to pretend
Again and again, we'll stick together
Everything is alright, with you by my side
We won't say goodbye, we'll stick together
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
We'll stick together
I can pick you up
When you're heading down
When it all just sucks,
I'll be your Charlie Brown
You can make me laugh
When I want to cry
In a world gone mad,
My bout of productivity continues. It's starting to feel 'normal' at this point. Which is great, because it means I can churn out material so much faster than I was before. Which makes me wonder if I shouldn't adjust my release schedule, which is currently shared among all my stories. At the moment it's set on a weekend basis, but that puts me a month ahead of schedule. Eh, nah. I think I'll keep it as is and just release early when I feel like it. The only story that's going to be releasing
(Tagging Administrative Angel since its sequel is ONLY in the book until September!)
So, as a lot of you have noticed, I have an abundance of stories on this site. Problem is, a lot of them are random one-offs that tie into my main story, "The Not-So-Normal Adventures of King Sombra and Pinkie Pie." Now, the reason this is a problem is because... Well, here's all the one-shots...
