Hello all, if you haven't been keeping up, over the last three weeks Cosmare Magazine has answered 3 very different questions for 3 different Bronies. If you have a question you want answers feel free to submit it over at Cosmare Magazine.
So I tried writing this thing once, and I wasn't very happy with how it came out. You know what that means.
...you don't? Well, you should. It means it's time for an old fashioned high school style persuasive essay! (When in doubt, go with the classics!)
As a child, I used to love watching Bill Nye the Science Guy in science class. It's not hard to understand why; it was funny, had lots of cool visuals, and every minute watching the show was a minute that we didn't have to spend listening to the teacher lecture on the subject or working on exercises from the textbook.
A few bits of random news:
Just wanted to say I'll be attending Everfree Northwest! I've always wanted to go to EFNW because they seem to really respect and care about the fanfic side of the community, and it's looking like this year's the year. Plane and hotel booked, badge acquired. Hoping I get to meet some new faces and see some old friends again.
I'm not gonna lie y'all, this has been a rough month, and things are not setting up to get any better.
This has been some time in the making, I must say. I don't know if anyone will even see this. An explanation for my stories on hiatus and/or cancelled. I've been struggling with work, mental health and writers' block for quite a while now. Nobody's fault but my own. My first two stories are, frankly, hot garbage. Steaming, flaming piles of it. Truly it all started when I entered a relationship that... Didn't pan out, and it severely impacted my mental health and willingness/ability to write,
Only there are no kings. There are only men, or stallions well not even that only ponies.
I'm back, maybe not forever, I am extremely busy as of late with my new apprenticeship at Olive Garden. That's right, Walmart is a distant memory to me now and I'm moving up in the world baybee!
I've never felt more alive, but there were some nice comments and people who seemed interested before, so I will explain how things are going with me.
At this moment as I begin to write this is the story that sits atop the feature box. It brought back a conversation That I had with a friend I have made on here some months back. We had discussed our own life situations in the past, and that day, for whatever reason I told him of an observation I have made.
Equestria Daily got added to the Library of Congress!
As part of it's effort to archive the development of web culture Equestria Daily (and twenty-nine other sites) have been added to a web culture archive in the Library of Congress, and while I think that's super fucking dope all around, there is one, amusing implication I realized.
Wow you guys!
Homefront makes the entire "The Dragon's Secret" series I've been working on the longest series of stories (in number of sequels and interconnected fics) that I have ever done! I am really proud of this story and the milestone it hit for me!
Hello oh lovely readers. Thanks for stopping by to read this!
Sleep, Pretty Darling has been very fun for me. I had this fic planned ever since The Mom 6's (TM6) chapters involving The Wonderbolts. I honestly did not see Spitfire becoming the Mama she did, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, but it happened. It did. And I'm honestly so glad it did.
This story to me was centered around the following quote:
We all know that 2018 was a sad and terrible year for the Brony Community. ToonkriticY2K exposed for being a pedofile with his only fanboy Performance Major (Shut up haters! Quit harassing me!) leaving the community earlier this year and a animator getting arrested for having 60,000 images of child pornography.
A lot has changed in two years.
In 2021, I was thinking of wrapping things up here. I hadn't published anything in years, my writing projects were going nowhere, and other hobbies were taking more of my time. At some point late in the year I decided I would read the best stuff on the site (by some reckoning), maybe publish one last thing, and then put a bow on it and log out of the fandom for good.
Then... A few things happened.
So, this'll be a short blog post.
I don't see comments from people anymore. Do people really not have that much of an attention span anymore that long-form stories like mine, with decently long chapters, no longer get attention?
Has it come to the point where it's not about the quality of stories, but how many you pump out, or how many chapters you put out?
Oh boy,
Well, this one's a doozy. So, I've been thinking for a while now about expanding the ACB Universe. To make a long story short, I've seen a lot of comments asking for specific SCPs and speculating about who or what might make an appearance. Some could, some couldn't, but I wanted to open things up and get some community interaction flowing.
