Yes and no, personally I've found with Blender since I've been using it for the past four years it's easy to learn, but hard to master, possibly easier for me, because with Blender I already know the UI.
The last of the summer shows I was watching have finished, except for one that's going through without a pause and two that will get new seasons next year. So the extras this week will have several recently completed series, but the features are a short movie, Hal, and a series from a few years ago, which I'll just give the short title of up here: WorldEnd. More after the break!
I'm coming up on a huge stretch in the alphabet without anything I'd given my highest ratings, so I'm faced with either reviewing like 20 things today (which I'd rather not do) or split it up and have only one featured item this week. And that's what I'll do: a series from just a few years ago, Hinamatsuri, after the break, plus still a large-ish number of other items that varied from good to bad.
Spring season starts today, though that doesn't stock my reviews too much yet, since a lot of my favorites didn't end. Features this week are one that did just finish, A Sign of Affection, and a movie from 2021, Pompo: The Cinephile. Those and more, one also recently completed, and YouTube shorts, after the break.
I recently retired a number of things that I was holding out hope of getting another season for, so that replenished my stash of reviews a little. Features this time are a series from three years ago, Dorohedoro, and a movie from four years ago, Her Blue Sky, plus the usual pretty good or not good stuff, including a recent one that just finished back in the winter, after the break.
The current season is turning out to be a little lackluster. Of new starts, only one show is impressing me, though there are two others I initially gave a pass but totallynotabrony has really liked, so I'll probably pick them up later. But for this blog, featured items are a series from a few years ago, Deca-Dence, and a movie from 2015, The Anthem of the Heart. Those and several other good to not so good things, after the break.
I don't typically like to have both featured items be movies, since that doesn't provide a lot of wall-clock time of entertainment, but such is my lot this week. Features are Nimona, from last year, and Penguin Highway, from 2018. Some other decent stuff as well, plus some more YouTube short films, after the break.
I finally got off my lazy ass and made a new intro + outro for my videos! Check them out here! :D
They're not perfect, but I think they turned out pretty good! Excited to make a video and use them for the first time. :]
Still holding steady, as the two featured spots this week get taken by something I just watched since the last blog. Two movies this time, one very new (Belle) and one a little old (Mai Mai Miracle), after the break, plus reviews of 6 other items, including one that just finished last week.
Well, that business trip I had scheduled got cancelled, so I'm not just getting in late on a flight back from the west coast. The two featured series this week are on the obscure side, but I've got some better known stuff in the short reviews. Those featured series this week are Heat Guy J and Iroduku: The World in Colors.
Once again, I finished watching a number of things in the last couple of weeks, but only one of the things I'm making my way through currently will conclude soon. This week's featured items are Noir and its sequels, plus a short series, Time of Eve, after the break, with the usual tag-alongs of good to not so good stuff.
In two weeks, I'll be getting into town late Tuesday and going away again Thursday, so... not sure whether I'll try to squeeze in a blog entry then on its usual schedule or just take the week off. Featured items this week are Durarara!! and Gunbuster, plus bonus plug for Green Legend Ran and the usual shorter reviews of other stuff, after the break.
