Just giving a quick update; this Tempest Shadow fic is well on its way to being a grand adventure, with thrills, mysteries and, of course, hot, steamy intimacy with our new favourite antagonist. In short: a classic Crowley story!
I'll post the teaser bio for the fic below. Spoilers for the Movie, obviously!
Okay, update on the Tempest fic: writing's basically done, just getting it proofread by a friend or two.
In the meantime, I've been making images for the fic itself, as I always to. Issue is, there are so few vectors and pics for Tempest Shadow... so much so, that I'm just taking what I can get and editing them to the point that they're unrecognisable. As such, it's taking a while. And since I'm no artist, these edits are a bit... sloppy.
Chapter three has gone through editing, on my part, and on one of my editor's part. Hopefully, in a few weeks, it should be ready for publication.
Overall progress has been slow, but I'm balancing this fic with reading other peoples fics. This is a small update to let you guys know what I'm up to, thanks for your patience!
Bezier sat in the donut shop, laying the side of her head against the table. She had recently heard of what had happened between Quantum and Pentagon. First Oculus dying and now this? Why couldn’t her best friend catch a break for once?
“Bezier...?”
Her ears perked when she heard that baritone voice. She furrowed her brow when she saw Pharynx standing behind her. “I’m not talking to you...” she mumbled.
*Recently, Tempest had taken it upon herself (and Pharynx’s self) to train Hero in combat. She was planning to use her spear, as she always did, and expected Hero to use his Timberblade. Well...*
*Walking towards him*
“Parry this you filthy casual.” *Pulls out revolver and clicks down on the hammer before aiming it at her*
“AHH—!”
Masks (17)
Hidden, ghastly, a veil;
Hiding in the dark,
Showing a dark secret,
Fearing the light of day,
They hide the truth,
Yet they cannot hide forever,
At dawn they must unmask,
And then they must go.
They will go, yet they will return,
Return they will, at the full moon,
On a Halloween's eve,
And on a blue moon or a full moon,
They will return in the night,
On a chilly October eve,
On the equinox,
And on the solstice as well,
But rest assured,
Stars (9)
Shimmering, shining, splendid,
Beautiful, glittering, twinkling,
Wonderful, magnificent, bright,
High above the sky,
In their realm of space,
Floating like balls of light;
Some wonder, some say why,
How they always be in place,
High above, yet not out of sight,
For they always come out at night,
To guide the way,
To show the path,
To lead not away,
To illuminate knowledge,
Many men have glanced at them over the years,
But the mystery still remains the same.
Now THIS is what the pony movie should have been.
If I’d known I was in for this, I’d have just stayed home and watched these episodes today.
I mentioned in a few posts ago that Ardos was the final boss of my new Shadow Pokemon game idea. So I decided, since I'm so good at making Pokemon teams, why not create what his teams for the final battle?
Ifis your starter:
Heracross (Shadow)
Word to the wise: Don't let anyone spoil you on the finale, it was amazing. Even me saying that is kind of spoily. If you think you've heard anything about it, go watch it right now, lest the best come across your plate like it did mine. D:
And season seven comes to a close, with a heck of a bang! :D I hope everyone enjoyed Shadow Play, because I sure as hell did!
Before I get into the reaction and analysis, I wanted to bring up something interesting. I was looking through transcripts recently and came across this gem, from The Crystalling, part 2:
Okay, I know I'm writing a ton of different stories right now, but there's this one specific one that I've been thinking about for a while and I'm wondering if I should start writing it right now. Here's what it's about:
[Drama]
I really don't like the explanation for the Tree given in Shadow Play, Part 2. IMO, it reduces the artefact and removes much of the mystery and wonder for it. Instead, I find myself preferring another explanation. One much like this (with apologises to Arthur C Clarke):
Call it the Tree of Harmony.
Everything. Wrong. With. The Shadow of Equestria.
A few days after the attack on Canterlot, I found myself searching the royal library for information. Up until now I've been using the Shade lie - saying I was born of Umbra's magic - and for some reason, Celestia kept looking at me like she wanted to run a blade through my heart.
