I’ve been getting behind on my comics canon combing.
Work. Unrealistic deadlines.
But now I’ve got a few hours and some brainpower left over.
Today, a couple new comic issues crossed my horizon, so we’re back to our regularly scheduled canonical statement investigations! First up is My Little Pony #41…
Spoilers inevitably follow.
Evidently, they’re not done with it yet.
The series might be on hiatus, but the comics aren’t, and I just got my hands on a new one.
Life has been too unpleasant to actually write, but I did manage to squeeze out a chapter for “Aporia.” Unfortunately for any readers who happen to read my blog – why the hell are you reading the research notes, but ignoring the story they’re written for, anyway? The story is better, but I know a lot of people do just that – that’s Conversation #48, not #47.
This is another three-parter, so I’ll deal with it in bulk.
While I could conceivably write up the fifth episode of Season 7, it’s so uninspiring, that I’d rather deal with the comics instead.
I’ve got some time, but no energy to write.
But I can analyze canon in my sleep. :)
So here we have the first source to feature Cherry Jubilee in forever…
Almost missed this one. And it has Rarity and Maud on the cover…
I’m holding back on the Shadow Lock storyline because it’s a three-parter, and I’m not sure what to think of it, and I’m holding back on Legends of Magic #1 for a similar reason.
But Friends Forever #37 is standalone, so might as well sort it out while I have the time.
Winter in Equestria is the time when nothing ever happens.
This comic is, if my memory serves me right, the only winter story in the entire MLP canon and demi-canon not explicitly connected to Hearth’s Warming or season change festivals..
