What follows is my attempt to synthesize all the lore from the SHOW, COMICS, BOOKS, and whatever else to get a clearer picture of this strange world that is Equestria. I will try my best to only make claims backed by evidence and avoid headcanon at all costs, which is going to make this fun considering how much the show contradicts itself half the time. The show is primary canon, the comics are secondary, and all else is tertiary. If the show contradicts something in the comics directly (such
Look everyone, I finished it! I finally freaking finished it! I said I would get it done this week, and here it is, so enjoy!
The Old Guard stands strong; they lurk within the Everfree, always watching the Phoenix Nation from the shadows.
Always watching.
Always ready.
They practice strange magic; they lurk within the Everfree, with its strange flora and fauna.
Ever stronger.
Always ready.
Long ago, their homeland was lost; displaced by war, they fled to the edge.
Rebuilt society.
Always ready.
Their mages are powerful; their magic moves mountains.
Daily practice.
Always ready.
Hmmm, it seems my next chapter is taking a little longer than I would like.
The reason is becaue of my work, I only have a few hours to do what I need when I get home and then write my chapters. This newest chapter is going to be a bit longer, because we are going to introduce some more Santa lore.
Santa lore, lol.
So do not worry, I am working on it, but I like to flesh it out more, hopefully will be released tomorrow if my work won't drag the day out to much, but we will see.
With the release of chapter 5 of Imperial Equestria and the Codex still having not made its publishing yet, I am tempted to release the Codex chapter now with what lore entries I have made thus far and just keep updating it at the earliest times I can.
Also ... can you guys believe that I own a copy of Halo 5 but not an Xbox One, so I have yet to have ever played it?
While I was rereading chapter 6, I felt that the last paragraph wasn't adequately portraying the level of foreboding that I had been going for, so I tweaked it a bit. It wasn't a huge change, just added a few sentences and changed some wording, but I'm much happier with it now. I just figured I would let you guys know in case anyone gave a flying feather.
There are monsters so hated, so reviled by ponies that even thousands of years after they vanished, many ponies feel horror just looking at their pictures. For they represent dark times, well before the founding of Equestria. When all of ponykind was subjugated under a horrific, intelligent and powerful beast.
According to the Ancient Chronicle of Harmony:
Hey folks! For the past month or so I've been working on some extended lore documents, things like Cloud Cover's notes, CWC Employee Records, that sort of stuff.
If you're interested in checking out some of my headcanons, check out the organized forum post in the Official Rainbow Factory group!
I have some OC's that'll be in an upcoming story of mine!
The first is Shachor, a monster and I love him.
And the next is his adoptive son Clover
I took another stab at trying to tag The Legends of Lore to my satisfaction. It's not perfect, but it's closer.
In other news, I'm uploading some bonus material for TLoL. I figured I would just upload it as I would a normal chapter, but stick it at the bottom and give it a title like "EXTRA: Title Name Here". It's a little over 3,000 words and equates to the 'Lost Race's version of the Book of Genesis. Enjoy.
The Cold Age is simultaneously one of the most significant events in the history of Homesdomh (the planet on which Homestria resides) and one of the most mysterious, most of our accounts of the era taking the form of myths or folklore. However, the prevalence of these myths across the world - the Siege of Storm's Deep in Cloudsdale, the attack of the King of Blizzards in Mount Aris, the Darkening of the Sun in Farasi, even in the distant, fabled Middle Kingdom, in the form of the Breaking of
As a tweak to the canon, it turns out that Celestia and Luna were not the only alicorns... They're just the only ones who didn't go insane or evil. They had eight siblings, mares and stallions, who were all alicorns but fell apart when faced with the challenges of their powers or life in general. Luna and Celestia sealed them up before they could do any real harm and gradually they were forgotten...
I decided to write up the full legend:
Grogar had three sons, whom he named Takam, Heidrun, and Yang (each after a goat deity). He gifted them each a bit of his power and gave them responsibility over each tribe of Ponies. But eventually, each fell in love with a mare of each tribe, married her, and had children.
