Alright, so the original story I talked about in the past blogs, about the daughters of Flurry Heart, is officially on hold. I lost the chapters I was writing all the way down to chapter 3, so I only have 3 chapters and that sucks so right now I'm not in the mood to try and rewrite everything. However, I have a new story in the works that is something completely different than anything I've written before.
Last week's descent into madness has been processed. My condolences to the souls that didn't get through.
This week's a special back-to-school surprise: the finale of our "Three of Me" retrospective! The surprise is that it's not a finale!
First of all, Merry Christmas, Festive Hearth's Warming, and Happy Holidays to all!
As some people may know, I'm rather fond of gingerbread. Specifically the design and construction of gingerbread houses. It's one of my more passionate hobbies, if a somewhat seasonal one.
This year I decided to tackle a new challenge (while trying a variety of new techniques, tricks, and recipe variants) in order to bring to life a classic structure from the hallowed halls of My Little Pony fandom.
Hoo boy. If you haven't heard of the McElroy family by now, then let me tell you straight up front that you have an excellent journey ahead of you, full of goofs and chicanery. These guys have just so many podcasts, and if you don't like podcasts, they also do some great YouTube work (scroll to the end for that). It's great, and there's probably at least one that you'll like. I even got my mother to listen to one, and it's more or less the only piece of media that we both enjoy. But we are not
Another one of my announcements from the blog entry with my writing plans for the first half of 2021!
"Liza Doolots and the Candy Factory" was released with its first chapter on Hearth's Warming Eve and will continue being written in the coming months. Here are the details you need to know:

Okay, technically, your calendar does not say "Hearth's Warming Eve" yet if you are in the EST timezone. But two hours is close enough, right?
Like it's tradition for me since 2016, I have written a Hearth's Warming Eve story again this year. And like last year, it's a ponification of a movie!
A long overdue moment finally happens..... Chapter 2 of "Liza Doolots and the Candy Factory" releases, as announced on Monday. I hope you still remember this story, if you started reading it in December, because three months often seem to be three years in fandom time. I hope you won't cut the views too much compared with Chapter 1.
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
So, this took a lot longer than expected. For some reason, writing "Liza Doolots and the Candy Factory" on Saturdays doesn't work nearly as well as I thought it would. Most of the story, if not all, should have been written and released by now, but I somehow made progress at a crawling tempo only. Unfortunately, Saturday is also the only day I have time to work on this story at the moment, as all the other days of the week are occupied by other stories. I'm not sure if this means the writing of
Holy FUCK, people. "Cupcakes" was a nightmare. There were SO many comments, and some people went WAY overboard. At least it's behind us.
Ahead of us, though, is the OTHER iconic gorefic of the fandom, "Rainbow Factory." Have fun.
This week, we’re putting ourselves four degrees away from the source material. It’s a card blog based on a video based on a story based on a song based on FiM. Let’s get going.
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
Okay, so this was ready on time, but I haven't been around to post the update for the last two nights. Thank god this is the long week, but it's also a pretty long one-shot.
Last week's return to Mykan is finished. Yay.
Do you like pain?
Are you depressed?
Do you like the idea of being tested by god like Job was with no end in sight?
Then this story is for you. This story is for *redacted joke prolly breaks tos*.
Like the character is a slave who gets emotionally, psychologically, and physically abused and neglected.
Every chapter.
Like, if you are a depressed communist who *redacted* sure, this will appeal to you. You can relate it to the horrors of uh colonialism haha.

So I have a job now. The job has me working Fridays. I'm fucked for getting promotions finished on my end until August, so Ring'll have to rely on others to prep and comment-vote the docs.
"Rainbow Factory" is all set. Go read it.
Been a while since I did a set of Read It Now reviews; been gleaning a lot of stories off of my high priority read later list. But there were some interesting-sounding recent stories, so I’d take a peek at them.

This is your jolly film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review.
Today, following my analysis on "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", I'm gonna give you guys my take of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)".
