Oooh gosh, how do I manage to keep getting sick for all the holidays?
That is almost a serious question, I am confused.
Going to go lay down now.

I was massively confused yesterday when I uploaded a video of me feeding our oldest cockatiel seed from a cup. Not even an hour went by and it had 500 views. Now it's close to 1k views. I don't get it; what is so fascinating about watching a bird eat seed???
Cockatiel is also curious. Bird wants to know your location. 🐥
Thats right. I made a thing. Also known as a story.
...
I think I made a mistake.

Send help.
It's been a long, looooong time since I blogged, so. Hi. I'm still here. Still exist. My lack of activity is not due to lack of interest but lack of things to say.
There's a piece of writing advice I like to give: a story should not need supplemental material to be understood. An author shouldn't need to explain things after the fact. If a prereader or commenter asks you a question, then that information should probably be in the story.
I recently won a competition against authors much better than I am. I'm still not sure how. (First place out of 57 short stories in last month's The Writeoff Association contest, specifically.)
I am continuing to modify the story for publication which I am fairly certain will make it much better for everypony except Titanium Dragon.
My girlfriend isn't a pony fan. She doesn't hate ponies, they're just not her thing. However, she loves me sharing stories I've written with her and showing her the wider culture of the site, including other peoples' stories. This isn't a blog about the good fanfics I've shown her (I have yet to show her anything particularly long), it's about the bad stuff. I've made her read some of the most downright awful and nasty fanfics on the site. Even after a year and times when she's literally thrown
I hit a milestone recently, which Fluttershy shall illustrate.
Tonight we dine in Tartarus, um, I mean, if that's okay with you...
Apparently, there are 300 ponies who have both followed me, and not yet decided to unfollow me!
In our previous episode, we we left Admiral Biscuit at Detour Village, having just watched the Drummond Island ferry leave port.
Loaded, in case you were wondering, with several cars, a semi, and two dump trucks.
Now the race was on to catch the Saginaw at Sault Ste. Marie!
(In all seriousness, I do want to finish the story some time this year. Also still working on my Endings and BronyCon 2019 reflection. Graduate school is a real treat in terms of available working time.)
Shipping. You gotta love it, right?
Except if you're a fanfic writer like me. For a long time now, I have had a side ship I have been planning on introducing to one of my stories, but something has come up.
I'M SITTING HERE, AND I REALIZE THAT THEY'RE MEANT TO BE, PUTTING ME IN MISERYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!
IN WHICH I SPOIL PLOT POINTS KINDA
Today was a day. I got some adulting done (yay me). Still have more to do. I regret that my mental health – what's left of it – must come before my writing. But that's the way it works sometimes. Anyway, I'd like to take this opportunity not to pity-party again, but to give a General Author's Note to the whole Recovery Arc. Follow me!
Okay so, I've always wanted a TVTropes page for my horsefic because it's just such a nice/nifty little thing to have. I dunno why, I just like 'em. However, I didn't realize how difficult the site is to use. Writing a page is actually kinda sorta really difficult!
...to you... for now at least....
I have decided to... well... just leave here...
Please don't ask me why (although you still can).
Why?
Answer: Because I just need time for myself, to read, to improve, to take a break, and to feel loved and cared for...
I've had my heart broken too many times already, I don't want it to be for another time... again...
A few minutes ago, I posted chapter 30 of Solstice. This is an achievement in and of itself for me, because I don't think I've ever written anything with that many chapters before. But it also marks three weeks of actual, daily updates to Solstice—something I promised myself I would do as a New Year's Resolution and never actually expected to succeed in.
This post, for the joy of absolutely nobody, is mostly unedited, except for the electronic demons pointing out grammar errors and the barely coherent corrections your's truly managed to sneak in, and is an exercise in writing more spontaneously and trying to throw out ideas.
Aside from an old short story of mine at the end. That was written a couple of years ago.
I'm thinking about writing a story with furries in it. yes, I am a furry. But I'm new to the fandom and I have no idea if there are rules or whatever else when it comes to writing. Do I use certain vocabulary? Like say, when I write Pony fiction, I write "Somepony" or "Anypony" do I do something like that when writing something with furries? Do I use names that sound a lot like animal names or normal names? I have many more questions so if somebody who's a furry could be so kind to educate me,
Three and a half years in the making.
Three and a half days until launch.
