Well, the disappointing news for G5 just keeps on coming. IDW is apparently wrapping up the comic series for good with the most recent issue, a run that lasted only twenty issues consisting of two lackluster arcs, and two filler issues in-between focused on Izzy. I wouldn't be surprised if G5 as a whole wraps up for good in 2025 when interest in "Tell Your Tale" inevitably wanes.
Hey there, guys. I'm back at Fimfiction. I know it's only been a short while since I temporarily left the site, but now I'm here and ready to get back to writing. Though, I'm sort of low on ideas and need your opinions on which ideas I could try.
Back at the beginning of this year, I put down a wall of shame for FiM featuring episodes from Seasons 1-4. With Season 5 having ended, and Season 6 not likely to be due out anytime soon, I think it wouldn't hurt to update the list now.
If you're curious, here's the first wall of shame. Let's see what will be added this time around.
2015 started off with still no information about Season 5's airdate, leaving the comics to try and recover from a less than stellar Wild West arc, and the infamous 2014 Equestria Girls Holiday special, on their own.
Starting off the year was Friends Forever #13, featuring Rarity and Babs Seed. Did this issue manage to restore faith in IDW, start them on a path of decline, or something in between?

As the main series was putting an end to the disappointment that was Ponies of Dark Water (a disappointment that would not be topped until Fire Over Yakyakistan), the Friends Forever series was puttering along, still mostly bouncing up and down in quality from issue to issue. Well, it's time to update the rankings again. Suffice it to say, the events of Season 8 (and to a lesser extent the movie) have really given me a lot to think about. You'll be surprised at some of the changes here. Here's version 5 from the end of Season 7, let's see what changed. Not every character is a success the moment they appear on screen. Some characters just fail to achieve a lasting impact, or end up succeeding too well at being a character we're supposed to hate. And so today, we'll be looking at ten of these characters, characters that for one reason or another are just not worthy of praise. After the events of "A Rockhoof and a Hard Place" this list had to be updated, plus last time around I didn't really talk about Stygian and I feel like now it's imperative to do so considering what's been established in the Legends of Magic comics. im thinking about a few things, and one of them is how im doing my chapters right now.
at the moment im just publishing them when they are ready, instead of making a chapter buffer, so i can publish chapters, even if i havent writen in a while.
so my question is this, do you guys/gals think i should make a buffer of a few chapters, and release them acording to a schedule, or do as i have done so far, and just release it whenever it is done?
With word that Season 8 was finally ready to air, the IDW comics no longer needed to support the hiatus and the main series continued to fall by the wayside and be relatively ignored. Meanwhile, the Legends of Magic series was ready to draw to a close, with only one issue left and then its annual before it would be done for good.
