And Here. We. Go… · 8:05am Nov 7th, 2015
This blog won't be attached to any story, so it'll kinda be a crapshoot as to who if anyone reads it. But I need to get it off my chest, which is what matters more.

From now on, no Author's Notes will be included in future chapters of Wandering Through Realities unless necessary.
Author's Notes can crowd and distract the natural flow of things. So, anything else I might want to say will be in the form of trusty blog posts, for your backstage drama needs!
In that faith,

I'm thinking of splitting up the next chapter of Her Majesty's Hidden Swords: one part for "normal happenings" one part for "Tom Clancy spy novel knockoff." Thing is, the slice-of-life stuff isn't very long; maybe only...2000 words? Bare minimum 1000. If I make the next chapter a filler chapter, I can't imagine anyone who's actually interested in the story (and if the downvotes are anything to go by, not many) will like it.
Today I made a small (?) edit to "The Blue and the Gray". I decided to upgrade its reader rating from everyone to teen. I hope that this didn't inconvenience any of my readers out there, but I had to wonder if some of my recent use of profanity had disqualified my story from at least some of the audience out there. Yeah, I know, does anyone running this operation ever proofread this thing and catch stuff like this. Personally, I doubt it. But it felt like the right thing to do.
This blog post will contain big spoilers for the last two chapters of A Survey, which I've just published. So don't read this unless you're caught up.
'Thalassophobia' Notes
-This story was inspired by my own very real, very deep fear. Ever since childhood, I've always been terrified of deep water. Probably stems from when I nearly drowned in a water park's wavepool when I was seven or eight. To this day, I can't physically get in water I can't see the bottom of without hyperventilating.
CHAPTER 3: For Ages 3+ Does not include Figurines
Have you ever noticed how most toys don't contain the figurines? You always have to buy them separately. This chapter's title also references the fact that Rainbow is noticing more background ponies or 'extras'. 3+ is the usual age marking on the boxes for kids' toys.
It's an old joke about where the other half of the cockroach is when you find half a cockroach in your meal. Noodles in this case, because China.
CHAPTER 4: You buy One you get One Free
The chapter title comes, again, from a well-known British advert; this time from Safestyle Windows, who were infamous for their wacky product advisers who screamed the mantra 'You buy One, you get One Free!' multiple times in the advert.
Have to go to bed, but I have a lot of free time before work so I plan to focus on attempting (at least partially) to get the first scene done in the next few days.
The story is actually based on my thoughts after seeing a fic use the colour-swapped Rainbow Dash pony picture. Not sure what I'd been eating that day, but it must've been good.
CHAPTER 1: 9/10 Customers can't tell the Difference
The chapter title is a reference to old British adverts that stated that 8 out of 10 cats preferred Whiskas.
As always, a big thanks to my pre-readers! AShadowOfCygnus, metallusionismagic, and MSPiper!
Anyway, it was inspired by this dumb blog I did, and then encouraged by jack & Coke in the early hours of the morning.
Haven't been updating much on here, but I have been on my DeviantArt account! Mostly pieces relating to the Lateverse, but sometimes other things. There's a quick example of some of the things I make:
As I sometimes do, I'm gonna give you the dramaturge first, and then at the end we'll have the story notes and whatnot.
I almost feel I should apologize for this one.
My previous Sunset story gave us a look into her inner monologue. Here we see what can happen if it's interrupted.
This story was something of an experiment to see if I could take advantage of a sudden burst of energy to pop out a work satisfying FF's guidelines before crashing back into my uninspired doldrums. It was written in a single go, and editing has been kept to a bare minimum.
I have about 7 concepts that I have been throwing around in my head. Unfortunatly, I'm a huge procratinator, and I've been milling these stories in my mind for about seven years.
Who Opaleen is (which is being destroyed chapter four - oh, well; this wasn't even head canon, so I'll still get to writing this at some point)
The Prodigle Pony - Sunset's return to Equestria (which was destroyed by "Forgotten Friendship", which I still think is the best Equestria Girls special)
CHAPTER 7: Placeholder Text - Insert Trasnlation here
Placeholder Text is often used during the design process (the most famous being Lorem Ipsum) to denote where text should go, but without the added cost of needing someone to have actually produced copy. They misspelled Translation too.
The opening paragraph highlights DFS and Partners again, which were popular British stores.
A yellow chaise-longue features in the season 7 episode 19 'It Isn't the Mane Thing About You'.
