Weekend Review: Jurassic World!
Something has survived! Will you?
Yo, what’s up people? I’ve come back from a dead-on break from reviewing to give you all another motion picture review.
Today, I’ll be reviewing Disney’s “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”. The film from 1954 to be precise.
What’s up, Kemosabes? AMU in the house once again.
Today, I’ll be reviewing “Smurfs: The Lost Village”.
Oh, Rian Johnson. Love him or hate him, he's been a polarizing figure ever since the release of The Last Jedi. And, while I have no wish to get bogged down in a big long debate about the merits or lack thereof in his contribution to the Star Wars universe, I was both curious and cautious in equal measure to hear the news of his next big movie project: a murder mystery in the vein of the old Agatha Christie novels, with a gentleman detective, a great big house and a whole cast of
Rewatched this earlier in the week, as I'd been in the mood to revisit the original TMNT movie after having seen "Mutant Mayhem."
Raya and the Last Dragon - or Raya and her Trust Issues - is a decent but unexceptional CG animated movie from Disney. The movie features vibrant and striking visuals, but a cast of essentially two characters plus a bunch of character shaped props.
It is a movie whose moral is that it is only by extending trust can we expect trust in return wherein the ENTIRE PLOT is driven by people backstabbing those who were foolish enough to trust them.
Have you ever met/been told about someone nearby who was different than you? Did somebody point/single out another person and tell you that they had something about them that would complicate talking to or working with them? Having Aspergers' Syndrome, I've asked that a lot about many people, including other folks on the autistic spectrum. I wondered how they perceive things, how they react, how they remember. Is life that much harder for them?
Ah, M. Night Shyamalan...
What a director.
From his early smash success with The Sixth Sense, that had him labelled initially as the next Hitchcock or Spielberg...
To the appalling lows of films like Lady in the Water, The Happening... and yes, The Last Airbender.
Been a loooong while since I did a movie review, huh?
Well, I finally got off my butt and managed to write one up. And it proved to be a big enough piece of text that I ended up posting it on my DeviantArt account, since I thought it'd be too long to post as a normal blog.
Appropriate, I suppose, given just *who* we're talking about here...
Hello again, guys. Mr. J here.
As the year is finally coming to a close and 2022 will officially begin in a couple more hours, I think it would be best to show you guys my upcoming movie reviews for January. Additionally, I am once again changing my review schedule for my own convenience; my movie reviews will now be posted only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from now on. Disney Fridays are likewise no more.
What’s up, peoples! AMU in the house!
Today, I will be reviewing Disney's 2017 live-action "Beauty and the Beast".
When it comes to Bill Murray, I have two major movies of his that I know of - Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day. I love the second one. My thoughts on the first one will come into play later in this review.
In any case, I didn't have too much experience of the man or his body of work, so when my father rented this 1981 comedy war movie, starring him and Harold Ramis, I decided to give it a whirl and see how it would hold up.
Salutations, Kemosabes.
This is your friendly film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review.
Today, I'm gonna be giving you guys my take of Disney's "Alice in Wonderland". The animated version from 1951 to be precise.
Here's the summary of this tale:
We've recently shown our kiddo Guardians 1 and 2 — well, there are more inappropriate choices for an almost-11, sue me. Anyway, kiddo loves them. Wife loves them. I love them.
We saw Guardians 3 in the theater today.
Good morning, jesters. Mr. J here.
Slept well last night? Great! Hope you guys are doing well. How am I doing? I'm doing well, thanks so much for asking. I feel so much better after watching a dogshit Disney movie yesterday.
Okay, so... a few days ago, I got introduced to this piece of madness...
Kung Fury is a short movie (30 minutes) funded through Kickstarter, and available on Youtube completely for free. And, my goodness, is it awesome.
