It's done guys. It's still not the cleanest work in the world, but it's far and away closer to my current standard. I've tidied up whole swathes of the paragraph structure, added a few bits, tweaked a few things to keep the canon consistent, but I haven't changed anything to the story itself.
The biggest change was to the third Interlude. I wanted to give the CMC a little more screen time.

I can not state how much this pleases me. Midnight Mares has been one of the projects that I've waited for since I first became a brony. A series about magical talking horses, not owned by hasbro, with a darker and more serious story line. I mean can it really get any better then that? (Well if Fallout Equestria became a movie...) As it says in the title. Sorry again about the delay but stupid me forgot to post this when it was done like a couple weeks ago. I was retaining it for some final editing touches, and completely forgot about not posting it until now. Well, hope you all enjoy it now that it's finally done and released regardless.
My job is interfering, as well as worries over a couple troubled friends. The chapter is currently sitting at 11,326 words with at least 2-3k words more to go, meaning I was only able to put around 1800 words on it over the past week.
On the advice of prereader AJ_Aficionado, the-now 37,000 words I’ve written for the end of the Changeling arc is going into Eros instead of the main story. I realized he was right when he said that it was simply too big a scene for C&C and interrupted the flow too much. A single 4-5k word M-rated scene in the flow of the main story is fine, but I can’t afford to spend three whole chapters on it. I was already thinking about that, but he gave me the nudge I needed.
Stuff came up today yesterday, so I wasn't able to give a final editing pass and publish this chapter then. That has been rectified. Hope you all enjoy!
This chapter we get some of Amaya's backstory, why she is the way she is, and a little bit of drama for good measure. Oh, and sex of course! Next chapter's when we get to the REALLY good stuff!

Hey my Legion, just wanted to let you know I released the next chapter of 'Thestrals at Midnight', introducing the main plot element of this story this time.
I should be releasing the following chapter within the day (11/17/2018), so keep an eye out for that! It's fully written in the final draft, but I'm just putting the final touches and doing a final proofreading to make sure it's fit for consumption.

So, apparently none of the theaters near me are doing Thursday night pre-screenings for the MLP movie so I shall have to go on Friday night. With hope I'll be going with friends, because I don't want to be the only person dressed up. :P There is also an official 'Brony Meetup' showing on Saturday but I don't know if I can go.
After the holidays and a hiatus from writing before that, as it says in the title, a new chapter of Thestrals up. I'm doing a final editing pass on the last chapter, so expect that to be posted later today. I'll make another post when it's up and published.
Moving day is here, such as it is. I say 'moving day' but honestly we're just going to be moving over the next week and a half trying to haul our lives between two places in the dead of winter.

It's awaiting one more preread and a couple more editing passes before launch, which will likely be tomorrow evening. 9000 words of female dragon fun lie ahead, folks, as Pinkie Pie has her own surefire way to win them all over, converting six female dragons into large and lovely sex-loving lesbians... though one will take a little more work than the others!
